  1. Hi all, I made this little new year music demo. because I always loved the music from outrun and I always felt that we Atari ST guys were cheated on. Firstly, there was a track missing. Secondly, it kept shifting between the two other tune every time one would die. Lastly, I do not think that David Whittaker did his best. The music files are YMT format running at 300hz and the reason the program file is so big. In the new year I will make a new sound format, still as fast, but be taking less space but you will need a 2mb Atari to run this. Thanks to everyone for listening and I hope you like this? Thanks, Peter. Btw there are 2 prg files, one is pack using Ice Packer and the other one is not packed. Outrun.zip Steve from AtariCrypt have uploaded a video.
  2. Hiiiiiiiii guyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyz! Well, after, like, 8 mounts of silence, I give You a new chiptune song made with ATARI 520ST computer (the YM2149 chip). https://soundcloud.com/yerzmyey/yerzmyey-temple-of-asherah It's a 3 channels track made with the MusicMon editor. Merry Christmas! Yerz PS: And probably I'd find something new for the New Year too.
  3. YMTPLAY.rar Hi all now that it is Christmas and other have give things to the community, i thought that i all will add to that, so i been fighting to get this little program finish. i have add mouse control to make it easier to control, but that was not so simple and meant that i had to redo big parts of the program. so there can very well be some bugs in it, i have not tested it on real hardware, mine is stash away. it should works under STeem. know bug, if switching to Drive A/B and there is no disk in, the program will come with a standard dialogue box and hang. THX to the people that help me tested earlier versions of the program to see the program in action a little info about the program. YMT files are like the YM/AY files. Music files where you sampled data from the sound chip register (YM2149/AY8910) in a certain interval, instead of having a dedicate player. up to now (to my knowledge), there have only been YM/AY player that could play tune/score files, that was sampled at 50HZ, but the YMT player can play files up to 300hz (there are some 50hz+ tunes/scores include in the examples) the advantaged of AY/YM/YMT format, is that to replay these tunes/scores cost very little CPU power, so if you need a lot power for a eg. a 3D demo, when it could be a wise choice to use it, because it leaves most of the CPU power for 3D calculations and the graphic etc. and the disadvantaged is that it use a lot of memory, and also that it is nearly impossible to make a routine that can capture and use the SID sound and Samples etc. it is also why those files need to be hand made, that is the reason why YMT-Player only support pure YM2149 sound. Merry Christmas all and may 2015 be a good Atari year Peter (this post was copy from Atari-Forum.com)
  4. Well, nobody will go abroad just to see/hear such stuff but if You're close to Danzig, You might just consider this. YM-DIGITAL the Atari 520ST band - along with the drummer Pinokio - will play a gig at "RetroKomp /LOAD ERROR 2017" multiplatform party, taking a place in 20-22.10.2017. The club's name is "Scena Muzyczna GAK", its address is: Powstańców Warszawskich Street no. 25, 80-152 Gdańsk, Poland. GoogleMaps: http://tiny.pl/gd8dh The party's site: http://retrokomp.org/?lang=en_US The band's site: http://ym-digital.i-demo.pl/ The club's site: http://www.scenamuzyczna.pl/ The concert might sound like this but of course with ST instead of Falcon. Another thing is, I dunno how about Factor6 but I don't have enough of material, so I intend to play some of my Falcon and TT songs too. We will play in 20.10.2017. But if You'd be interested in ATARI XL/XE too, then a day later - 21.10.2017 - in the same place, Pinokio will play a solo gig with ATARI 8bit and drums. Which definitely will sound like this Regards. Y
