Arcade #1 Posted January 8, 2007 What was it again that I need to save a Jag CD save file? Also, how much do they usually run? I'm not much into eBay, so would there be anywhere else to look for one online?
kevincal #2 Posted January 8, 2007 It's called a Memory Track Cartridge. I think B&C Computervisions might have some for sale...Songbird Productions might also as well.
kevincal #3 Posted January 8, 2007 As far as price...I think they run something like $30.
Broonale #4 Posted January 8, 2007 The price on them is insane right now! $50-105 Just keep your eyes open and be patient!
kevincal #5 Posted January 8, 2007 (edited) Uh...no. http://www.myatari.com/atarijag.txt Scroll down about 1/3 of the page to find it. $19.95 And here's the link to the main page for ordering it. http://www.myatari.com/ Edited January 8, 2007 by kevincal
Broonale #6 Posted January 8, 2007 $20 is VERY good and way better than Ebay right now!

Zwackery #8 Posted January 8, 2007 When I saw the title of this thread, I thought it was going to be about saving up money to buy Jag CD games, because the rarer ones get pretty damn expensive!
Goochman #9 Posted January 8, 2007 Question on these memory tracks - DO these things have a battery to assist in storage or is it just a flash cart which is limited to amount of writes?
Gregory DG #10 Posted January 8, 2007 I'm pretty sure it's just a flash cart. I bet it even uses the same memory chips that a regular Jaguar cart uses.
Matthias #11 Posted January 8, 2007 Hello! Standard Jaguar game cartridges use serial Eeproms of just 128 bytes for their "Save Game" options (I think BattleSphere uses a 512 byte version and BattleSphereGold and Protector SE use 2048 byte versions). The Memory Track uses a 128 kilobyte big FLASH-chip (with parallel port) which can be accessed in chunks of at least 512 bytes. I have some pictures and descriptions of Jaguar cartridge PCBs on my website. Regards Matthias
