Tempest #1 Posted January 8, 2007 I was just playing through Kings Quest I the other night (the original, not the remake) on my Apple IIGS and I noticed some differences between this version and the version that I remember playing on my Apple II when I was a kid (when it originally came out). I'm not talking about differences in the sound and music (I knew they upgraded those on the IIGS version), or differences in the interpreter, but just some minor graphical differences that I have no idea why they changed. For example: - The background on the credits scroll on the startup screen is white instead of black - There are three flags visible on the castle on the starting screen instead of two (they're spaced differently too) - The moat on the starting screen is slightly larger and there are crocodiles in it - When you play the fiddle for the leprechauns it doesn't show a picture of the fiddle being played in the middle of the screen - The background "ambient noise" sounds are missing (I think only the original PCjr version had this) I'm sure there are more differences, but I'd have to go back and play the Apple II version again to check. I'm just curious as to how many other minor changes there are and why they bothered to make them. Tempest
