PacManPlus #1 Posted January 9, 2007 I would think *something* special would be going on... Maybe even from Atari themselves? I know it's very early in the year... but... anything?
Giltygear #2 Posted January 9, 2007 yeah... they'll actually put out a *good* game... but probably not
Lord Helmet #3 Posted January 9, 2007 I am still hoping for a multicart with all of the original release games on one cart sort of a 30th Anniversary cart

Video #6 Posted January 9, 2007 Well, if Atari actually still owned any of the Atari produced games of the 2600, I think a multicart with all 60 or so games on it would kick some serious ass. Atari won't take any notice to this historical time though. IF so, maybe a 30th 2600 compilation for the consoles. Oh yeah, they already did that as the Atari Anthologies Oh well. Happy 30th 2600!! jaybird3rd #7 Posted January 9, 2007 (edited) Maybe a Stella @ 30 I'm up for a "Stella at 30" DVD, too! Maybe even ten of them! Edited January 9, 2007 by jaybird3rd
sandmountainslim #8 Posted January 10, 2007 I have been crowing this same thing for months (in between talkin about Fonz). I believe that there IS a 30th Anniversary Cart in the works though not by InfoTari. Probably something that will be offered right here at AA. PressureCooker2600 #11 Posted January 10, 2007 I'd prefer a homebrew made by some of the best programmers here at AA......instead of something put out by the Info-turds.
ewing92 #12 Posted January 10, 2007 The 2600 isn't thirty yet, she's still got about 10 months 'til October.

sandmountainslim #14 Posted January 10, 2007 I'd prefer a homebrew made by some of the best programmers here at AA......instead of something put out by the Info-turds. Amen to that! Something like Combat III, One Player Version or a game about traveling back in time year by year until you reach 1977
fire!fire! #15 Posted January 11, 2007 If they can't get a programmer to do a 30th Anniversary cart (or enough people to buy one) then maybe they can make a commemorative shot glass. Hey - if they had AA shotglasses I would sure buy one...hmmmmmmm
sandmountainslim #16 Posted January 11, 2007 Hey - if they had AA shotglasses I would sure buy one...hmmmmmmm One too many shotglasses is why people end up in AA in the first place WP

DEBRO #20 Posted January 11, 2007 This is also the 10th anniversary for the CGE. I'm sure these guys must be planning something to coincide with the 30th anniversary of Stella.
Flojomojo #21 Posted January 11, 2007 I would LOVE an Atari Megamix full of entertaining minigames served up in bite -sized chunks, like what Nintendo did with (the first) Wario Ware. If I can't have that, a portable Flashback 2 with lots of extra games would be a nice consolation prize. If I can't have that, I guess I'll just mope around and play Demon Attack on my PSP. Foxsolo2000 #22 Posted January 11, 2007 Is InforAtari still around? I ask for last year there was a thread talking about the deathwatch of Atari.
+atari2600land #23 Posted January 11, 2007 (edited) I want cake. I think the bakery would look at me strangely if I asked them to write 'Happy Birthday Atari' and then write a big Atari logo on the cake for me. Greg Zumwalt #24 Posted January 11, 2007 Probably have the multicart in a golden cartridge. 30th is neither Gold or Pearl, it is Emerald. And some of us have been months working on 30th anniv. specific releases
fire!fire! #25 Posted January 11, 2007 I want cake. I think the bakery would look at me strangely if I asked them to write 'Happy Birthday Atari' and then write a big Atari logo on the cake for me. I think it would be really funny. Not sure if the bakery folks will know what Atari is. Kind of sounds like a neat ethnic name.
