Crazy Climber #1 Posted January 12, 2007 Is this game a little more Rare then I thought it was, I can find all kinds of loose ones but I've been looking a little while now for a nice complete NTSC Ghostbusters game with zero luck. Seems kind of weird to me, is this a rare box or something? Any help or comments would be awesome or better yet if you have one for sale Thanks everyone. Atarimania75 #5 Posted January 12, 2007 I really don't know how difficult they are to find. I will say i don't see too many around but i think i found mine for $20.00 or less. So i would hold off unitl u get one at a fair price! The only Activision title that i feel is next to impossible to find around is Cosmic Commuter that one seems to be almost non existent and i really don't understand why! Even hard to find the instructions i guess because they are really small and can be lost or tossed quite easily!
Cassidy Nolen #6 Posted January 12, 2007 IMHO.... When the Zellers buy stuff turned up about 7 years ago from the Digital Press guys, I think it made a wave in the rarity of new/boxed stuff. They had a ton of late Activision and Atari releases. These games filtered into collections for years. Now that the supply is minimal (or gone, who knows) I think we are seeing actual rarity. I would not be suprised if common games like that become hard to find complete in box. Most collectors who bought it then are not interested in selling it. As for the rarity of the two boxes, the bigger one is easier to find, IMHO. I have seen at least one of those at each show I have been to in the past five years (including Philly this past November). The skinny blue label I bought from Joe Cody in 2002 and I don't see that one much at all. C
Crazy Climber #7 Posted January 12, 2007 Thanks everyone I just thought it was strange I couldn't find a complete Ghostbusters. I never thought of this game as rare at all, I figured it was in the same league as most of the other common Activision titles. I would probably prefer the smaller box but I'm not really picky, I would buy either if I saw one. I'll just keep looking, thanks
CincYnoTi #8 Posted January 12, 2007 Actually, there is a third version of the box that goes in between the two pictured. It is the larger size but doesn't have the bar code on the end flap. And they are surprisingly hard to find, especially if you try to find all three versions.
jpfalcon2003 #9 Posted January 13, 2007 I haven't seen a complete ghostbusters in a while either. I have a loose copy of that game, but do have a complete Ghostbusters II copy.
+atari2600land #10 Posted January 13, 2007 It took me about a year to find a loose Ghostbusters 1, but I live in a part of the world that is dry as a bone when it comes to 2600 games. Must say the title song is great!

Crazy Climber #12 Posted January 13, 2007 yea.....i only have a loose copy of GB1......no luck on finding a CIB one GB2 is going to be incredibly hard to find. I've actually seen several Ghostbusters 2, it's that damn first one that seems to be elusive.

Crazy Climber #17 Posted January 16, 2007 Yes, there is a difference between PAL and NTSC boxes. The PAL boxes say "Made in W. Germany" Thanks if thats the only difference I'll just get a PAL one if I cant find the NTSC one soon
CincYnoTi #18 Posted January 17, 2007 If there is a photo of the box on ebay, a PAL box should be easy to spot by the bar code on the end flap. I'm going by memory, but I think they left off part of the word Ghostbusters on the end flap to make room for the bar code.
