xenomorpher #1 Posted January 15, 2007 (edited) I decided today to play Dead Rising for the first time in a couple months. I figured I would just mess around until time ran out for the stupid case 2-2. As time went by it got closer and closer to end. Then it just stayed there and didn't fade and it was red until no bar was left. Just the black logo thing, I can't tell on my 19" standard TV. I have been playing for a few hours and the game hasn't ended. I never answered Otis either if that contributed at all. Is this a glitch? I checked my strategy guide and it said that the case started at 6 am and not to waste any time getting there. The case is active, but I didn't bother going. I noticed it didn't play the little movie when it turned into night. I'm wondering if this is a glitch or a very nice update that I have dreamed about. I'm worried to save the game or turn the system off. What should I do? Edited January 15, 2007 by xenomorpher
bruser_inc #2 Posted January 16, 2007 Nope, isn't a glitch. As long as you don't run into cutscene for the Carlito fight, you can run around as much as you want. Or hell, if you want, you can run into the cutscene and run right back out. Brad will die after a few in game hours, and the game will end. But as long as you don't run into the fight you can save, kill things, save again, quit for a few days, kill things, save again. Till the end of the 3 days comes about. I'm actually glad it isn't a glitch because I can do this over and over again. Another thing. If I skipped that case, would I still be able to be picked up by the helicopter? bruser_inc #4 Posted January 17, 2007 Yeah...you can be picked up, don't know what ending you would get but you can get picked up.
+remowilliams #5 Posted January 17, 2007 Another thing. If I skipped that case, would I still be able to be picked up by the helicopter? You won't get the true ending unless you complete all the cases And there's a hell of a difference in the true vs. other endings.

You won't get the true ending unless you complete all the cases And there's a hell of a difference in the true vs. other endings. I read the endings in my guide and a lot of them suck...big time. I want to focus on actually doing all the cases after I get the Megaman gun. After that I'll try to unlock the other modes if I didn't already. I hope in Dead Rising 2 it takes place in a big town or city even with a mall of course.

MM gun first, then on with the ass kicking! I loved Dead Rising.

Yep me too, and the fact that I still need a few of the achievements means that I will be paying a visit to the mall again sometime soon!! And yeah you dont really start playing that game until the MMG...It's AWESOME! Even better if you wear the MM gear! (Well you look cooler anyways)

I stopped at 960 of 1000 for DR, I wasn't into getting the survivor ones. That makes it my second highest total after Oblivion (1000 of course!) DR was just crazy amazing fun!
