Are any of the classic Mario games avail for Wii or Game Cube?

I know there are some Mario Titles for the GC...but did they release any of the classic games? SMW or anything?

If you pick up a GB Player, you can play all the old school Mario platformers on your GC that way.

So far we have Suepr Mario Bros and Mario 64 available for Wii and supposedly Mario World is not too far away

Not specifically for the GC but if have the Gameboy player with the GC, there are some classic Mario titles available for the GBA:

 

SMB

Super Mario Advance which is SMB2 & Mario Bros

Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3(dumbest title ever)

 

There's probably a couple more I can't think of at the moment.

Several NES games are hidden within Animal Crossing on the Game Cube. This includes a couple of Mario games, but apparently you have to cheat to unlock the Mario games. More info here.

would be nice if they would put out a mario classics with all of them on one disc...i'd pay $49 for it...lol.

Consider paying about the same amount or ideally less depending, throw in a little leg work and patience and you should be able to find a Super NES system and Mario All Stars which has the original 3 games plus Japan's Mario 2

There's also Super Mario Advance 2 which is the GBA version of Super Mario World. Now I'm curious as to what's on Super Mario Advance 3...just checked...that one is the GBA version of Yoshi's Island.

• Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (NES) - aka Japanese SMB2
  
• Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES)
  
• Dr. Mario (NES)
  
• Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (SNES)
  
• Super Mario World* (SNES)

* Nintendo Power Reports that SMW is planned for Q1'07. So it should show up sometime this month or next.
