Larcen's Hideout - Classic Gaming Fan Fiction?

While playing Xevious for the Atari 7800 High Score Club this week, I was reminded of how I had started working on a short story using the title 'Xevious: The Avenger' (based on the title it was given by Bandai when the game was released on the NES,) and rather than going by the storyline listed in the manual for Xevious 3D/G+ on the PlayStation, I decided to write a storyline about why the pilot is called 'the avenger.'

 

I haven't updated it in awhile, but I was thinking of rewriting it again, with a bit more depth to it. I know back in the day, there were children's books based on some Atari games, and that was part of the inspiration (the other being the classic 'Worlds of Power' novels published back in the NES days)

 

Anyone else ever had this idea?
