How good are the Ebivision games?

I guess I'll find out when mine arrive as I just ordered the 5 pack from the store.

 

Just looking to get some general idea.

 

Some of these were the first homebrews, do they hold up after all these years?

I'll tell ya right now, there's no way I'm flipping my 27" TV on its side to play Merlin's Walls!

 

The other ones sound OK I guess.

 

I think next month I'll pick up the Sea Battle / Sword Fight two pack.

Allia Quest and Merlin's Walls were my favorites of the bunch.

 

Allia Quest is just fun with awesome graphics.

For Merlin's Walls-- just lay on your side. It helps.

Power Off! wasn't really to my taste. Some people like it, I guess, but it really suffers IMHO from the fact that the player only gets three lives and must replay all earlier levels to practice later ones.

 

IMHO, had it come out 'back in the day' it would have been considered a decent but unexceptional title. Certainly nothing compared to some of the homebrews that have appeared since.
