Question on Xonox Double Ender manuals

Recommended Posts

I have the manuals for the Tomarc the Barbarian/Motocross Racer cart and they are in black & white. What is strange is they don't say double ender on them. Tomarc/Motocross is a strange cart too. The shell is made out of black plastic instead of the greyish one used on the other double enders, and from what I understand is a Canada only release. I got the cart and manuals from an original owner along with an Chuck Norris Super Kicks/Artillery Duel & instructions, and the Chuck Norris Super Kicks/Artillery Duel instructions were in color with the double ender mention on top. Xonox seems to be a strange company in that they had cheap B&W manuals for the original released single enders and then went to more expensive color ones for the double enders. What about cutting costs?? Anyhow my question is does anyone have a color Tomarc the Barbarian or Motocross Racer manual? Until one appears I dare say that they don't exist.

I've added some scans below. Also note the Tomarc instrustions are slightly darker.

The single enders were mostly shipped with the B&W manuals, but sometimes color ones were found in sealed copies as well. I don't think anyone has ever found a B&W manual with the double enders. The color difference is probably just fading.

Have you ever peeked inside your Tomarc/Motocross racer box besides just seeing if the correct cart is there? I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that your manuals are black and white. Let me know. I'm really curious. ;)

I would like to see this black cart also please Jeff :)

Most of the PAL double enders are black, just buy them in Germany. ;)

Yep, done that myself. This guy has at least 3 black ones, maybe Rudi can pick them up for you.

My Robin Hood/Sir Lancelot and Tomarc the Barbarian/Motocross Racer double-enders are both black and they're definitely NTSC.

Both of the Tomarc/Motocross's I have are in a blackish shell, the RH/SL I own is greyish a greyish shell like my other double enders:

Now that I think about it, I think my Robin Hood/Sir Lancelot has a grey shell, too. It's probably my Chuck Norris Superkicks/Artillery Duel that has the black shell.

I don't have the instructions for any of them, though.

I used to have Ghost Manor/Spike's Peak and Chuck Norris Superkicks/Artillery Duel. Both shells were gray, and the maunals were all blue. I do not recall if they had the "Double Ender" text on them.

Spike's Peak/Ghost Manor had screenshots on the label, and Chuck Norris/Artillery Duel had artwork.

I got a boxed single ender yesterday form the original owner and it had the color instructions. Xonox just threw them in there I would guess.

Was it a Tomarc the Barbarian or a Motocross Racer, Jason? I'm still waiting for anyone to show a photo or scan of one of these in color with double ender printed on it. Until then I say they doesn't exist. Prove me wrong, anyone? :)

Thanks Cpuwiz for checking. I used to throw French manuals out as a kid and just keep the English ones. I suspect a lot of people did the same so they are probably a lot rarer then the English ones. So that's what the complete set looks like? Was there any advertisments or warranty cards?

I think this goes a long ways in confirming there are no color manuals for the Tomarc/Motocross double ender. Anyone want to produce a scan or photo of a color manual to prove that wrong?
