@Andrew although you think a lot of people were picking on you, they were really just saying what fair market value for your stuff was. I'm sorry you felt either it was too little or what have you. I think your new bin is fair for what you have. I'm sorry you are leaving, but if you have any genuine interest in the hobby you will be back.

So some guy arrives, creates a huge two-thread-wide controversy over a Krok Cart system bundle, then dramatically makes a "farewell" post, and I only caught the tail end of it?

 

Interesting.

 

The guy I got into it with about 8 months back over the 7800/CC2 deal was trying to convince me that the fact that the CC2 was loaded with his ROMs and custom menu was a value add to the product. Personally, customizing these things myself is almost as fun as playing the games.

 

The Craigslist XBox soft-modders do this too, "Xbox, 200 Xbox games, DVD movies, and over 3500 retro games installed on 200gb hard drive, $250!"

BTW I have a few extra Combat carts, and if someone doesn't pay me $5 for each of them plus $6 shipping, I am quitting AA for good and burying my Atari collection in the back yard.

I rather think anyone who makes a "farewell post" is just hoping that enough of a groundswell occurs to keep them coming back. Kind of like Cher and her "farewell concerts."

 

Maybe we should just call this guy "Cher"?
