jboypacman's Blog - Bubsy sure has quite a following.

Of all the videogame mascots out there i was always surprised how Bubsy Bobcat has such a underground following.He was made to compete with Mario and Sonic but always seemed to fall short of them.Now its a given that Bubsy has a higher rank in the videogame mascot chain of command.He is well above lets say Mr.Nuts or Punky Skunk but is quite below Pac-Man or the before mentioned Sonic or Mario.His games were not always great(Bubsy 3D was bad)but i found his efforts in his first game not too bad(Really decent on the SNES).Bubsy's name seems to pop up alot in the Jaguar circle of gamers i have found most really seem to like his adventures on that system(still like the SNES game better myself).I heard a rumor once that he was going to be in a Smash Bros. game(Sonic and Bonk's names were mentioned too)but that never happened.Am still amazed that after all these years his name still comes up in video game conversations,i bet that we wont be talking about Vexx in our later years thats for sure.A comeback for Bubsy sometime soon?Who knows but anything can happen in the world of video gaming.See you the Virtual Console Bubsy(maybe) .
