Math You #1 Posted February 18, 2007 I just bought a 2600 jr and was wondering if games like Breakout or Video Olympics would work with the CX-78 joypad that came with it or do I need buy some paddles aswell? Would two driving controllers in ports 1 and 2 work the same a a pair of paddles in port 1? Thanks Matt
Thomas Jentzsch #2 Posted February 18, 2007 Would two driving controllers in ports 1 and 2 work the same a a pair of paddles in port 1? Nope. DCs are digital controllers, paddles work analog.

Video #4 Posted February 18, 2007 You have to get it for any of the paddle games, most of which are great BTW. But if you get some I'd suggest getting two sets and picking up Marble craze. It's a great game and fun two playered.

shadow460 #7 Posted February 19, 2007 You might wanna add Warlords and Medieval Mayhem to that list of games...
elviticus #8 Posted February 19, 2007 Definitely.... Paddles are the only way to properly experience great games like Super Breakout, Warlords etc. ... Get some paddles and try these games, you'll be glad you did!!
Nognir #9 Posted February 19, 2007 I'm also looking for a pair of paddles for a long time. They are a bit harder to find in Germany.. Or I search in the wrong places
Math You #10 Posted February 25, 2007 I'll have to start looking on eB*y and see what I can find. I'm changing the subject a little here, but how does the Jakks Pacific paddle games compare with the real thing? It would probably work out cheaper than buying genuine paddles and 13 cartridges.
