GP32 GamePark for sale on eBay

Recommended Posts

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=300084536886 ( link to the auction )

In case anyone is interested, I have a GP32 system with a modified GBA ( light knob attachment ) for sale on eBay. The GP32 comes with the original installation CD full of emulators and roughly 40 freeware games. I'm also including a 128MB Smart Card that I can't list on the auction. This auction has been shut down four times due to reasons of enabling users to duplicate software. I assume it was the Smart Card so I took it out of the photo. The image below is the original image pre-removed and changed for eBay's standards. If you have any questions you can post them here or email me through eBay. Anything related to the additional items included please send an email to my personal email account which you can get though eBay. Thanks, Dale

Wow, taken down again! That was the longest this item has made it so far. Any bets on how long it or I will last on eBay once I repost it :)

If you keep posting it they will disable your account. I didn't look at the latest incarnation very closely. Did you implement the suggestions people gave you? eBay clearly sucks--maybe you could just pick a price you want for it and advertise the combo here in the forum, or re-list it with a reasonable BIN and hope someone nails it quickly. :)

Haha, it's hell or high water for me. I'm listing it again until they throw me out or the auction ends. I was doing pretty well there, 15 watchers and a bid of up to $33.00. So here is the listing again

Remember I'm also including:

• Smart Card 128MB ( with the latest multi-firmware )

• The starter CD contains plenty of Emulators and roughly 40 free ware games

Good luck.

Why do they keep removing the auction? Do they figure the GP32 is all warez or something?

Well, I got a formal apology from eBay. Very strange indeed. They had this to say:

Dear carminethebowler,

We have returned your listing(s): 300083791846 Nintendo / Game Park: GBA / GP32 Hand Held Systems to the site, where it now appears as an ended item. All you have to do is click on the relist link located in the listing itself and it will restart. Additionally, if there were any bidders for the item(s) listed above, we have emailed each of them a copy of the following letter:

"You recently had placed a bid on item number(s): 300083791846 Nintendo / Game Park: GBA / GP32 Hand Held Systems which had been removed by eBay. After review of this listing, we have found that it was removed in error.

As a result, we have informed the seller that they may relist their item if they wish to do so. Please feel free to re-bid on this item under the new item number. To locate the new item number, please check the sellers list of items at:

http://pages.ebay.com/search/items/search_seller.html

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused."

Regards,

So there it is, after about six removals and me just relisitng the item. So much for the threat of getting kicked off eBay.

Well, at least you can finally run this auction without fear of eBay nuking it again. :) Not sure it was worth all the hassle though!

Oh it was worth the hassle. I was actually hoping they would say something to me. At least we all know it's not easy to get kicked off eBay :) I relisted this thing six times. Auction's almost over which is amazing!

It says removed again. Why are they doing that? Does it come with ROMs or something? I bought my GP32 off eBay a few years back. Maybe eBay has forgotten what they are or something and is thinking they are bootleg gameboys?!?

The link in the first post was to an earlier auction they removed. I just updated it with the correct link:

Oh okay - thanks for that. I wonder if it was getting removed becuse it mentions a GBA in the same auction and the 'bots flag it as potentially being a "play your GBA games on this other system!" type of auciton

Maybe because you called it a modified GBA?

Yes, I know that a "light knob attachment" is pretty stupid to take an auction down for, but to an idiot ebay minion, "modified" == EVEL PYRUTT ARRRRR!
