SwordQuest:Earthworld and Fireworld were to be part of a four-part series of games for the Atari 2600.Earthworld and Fireworld were widely released,SwordQuest:Waterworld was sold via mail order from the Atari Club but was later sold in stores in very limited quantities and is considered a collectors item and is highly sought after. The fourth and final game SwordQuest:Airworld was never released. As far as Earthworld and Fireworld goes i must say that these two games in my own personal opinion are the worst two games i have ever played on the 2600.Thats a very bold statement i know but coming from someone like me who likes games like Space Jockey which people really think is a stinker there must be some thing to it.These games i guess were made to be played with the pack-in mini comicbooks that came with them(at least thats how i understand it). What a bad ideal, what happens if you dont have the comic?I guess your screwed.Anyway the graphics in the games are not bad at all i found them to be decent for the most part. The sounds are really nothing to write home about. It controls o.k. but what good is controls if you dont know what your doing. As i did the first time i played these games so many years ago i wander around aimlessly and pickup items here or there every once in a while.Maybe if i had the comics it would be better but for some reason i doubt it.Dont play these games, just get them for your collection and forget about them.Play Adventure or Venture instead, you will have more fun and feel like you accomplished something.Heck,E.T. is better than these two turkeys but that just my call on it.Two huge thumbs down on these kids!
