techie_alison #8 Posted March 1, 2007 Yes I am Cables? Of what sort? I am of course interested in some interfaces of yours . I'll email you soon about them! Ohh. Atari video cables. I can wire an Atari 13-pin DIN to practically anything. I've just bought the remaining stock of 13-pin DIN connectors from a UK stockist. My latest cable goes to one of these fancy new LCD televisions with a SCART and VGA/AUDIO sockets. It has a switch and you flick it to go from colour to mono. As for the PeSTs. Don't worry, they're still here. I'm just making them up in batches of 12 at the moment which last me a month or so.
ggn #9 Posted March 1, 2007 Hmm, interesting, I bought the components to make one EXCEPT the 13-pin DIN, which, sadly wasn't available Funny note though, I visited my local electronics store, and I drew up the 13-pin plug and the guy told me: "Is that for Atari?". I was quite amazed! And then I was even more amazed when he told me that he had till recently a couple of them but sold them! Oh well... So if you can do it, I'll send you the money for a 13-pin to SCART cable and at least a PeST. Just drop me an e-mail with the full amount
techie_alison #10 Posted March 1, 2007 (edited) I can do SCART cables no problem. What I do do with them though is to heatshrink all of the connections after soldering. Main reason is that I'm a bit of a perfectionist. :-) If in a few years time one of the wires comes off and touches say the ST's +12v line then it's either bye bye ST or bye bye television. Will do the two separately :-) Have a look on my site; www.logicsays.com and goto Atari then the VGA lead. Very similar to that. +CyranoJ #11 Posted March 1, 2007 *waves at alison again* Hehe, drop me a PM with a price for ST->Scart and I'll take one too The MegaSTe looks cruddy on RF output (Also, how handy are you at UK TOS roms... these are german, lol!)

You mean you need 2-chip TOS 2.06 English roms? I've just sold two sets for £12 (cost of chips) each. I have one set here but it's my last set. How desperate are you? As I *could* get some more blown if there's enough demand. Here's the link of what I had; TOS 2.06 ROMS No worries on the SCART cable. It'll be an RGB SCART. +poobah #13 Posted March 2, 2007 Did you find 13pin DINs with solder cup pins? The last batch I got here in the states were solid pins... NOT fun to solder. Ohh. Atari video cables. techie_alison #14 Posted March 2, 2007 (edited) Did you find 13pin DINs with solder cup pins? The last batch I got here in the states were solid pins... NOT fun to solder. Solid pins here. I know what you mean though. It's a developed knack soldering them but quite easy now. I also put heatshrink over each wire and pin too. Tell you what I do find though and that's the metal grip, no way is that designed to accomodate a cable the same thickness as the plastic sleeve. I remember them from the 80's and the things used to fall to bits. This is fully screened low loss signal cable, as opposed to SCART cable which is cheap consumer rubbish really.
