moycon #1 Posted February 26, 2007 I just saw this: February 26, 2007 - 2K Sports released a demo of Major League Baseball 2K7 today. Available for download on Xbox Live Marketplace, the demo pits the Cardinals against the Mets in a nighttime contest. It's 1-1 at the top of the 7th inning. Take control and decide the game, getting a taste of MLB 2K7 while playing out the last three innings. MLB 2K7 ships to stores February 27. Normally not something I'd get all that excited about, I'm not a huge sports game fan, altho my brother and I used to have a heap of fun playing baseball on the NES. What suprised me was the players on the forums reviews to the demo. 9's and 10's? They mention that 2k Sports have finally listened to the game players and made a baseball game that looks awesome and plays great. I've always seen pretty mundane reviews of 2k sports games so I might just have to give the demo a try and see what all the fuss is about. I'm curious if anyone on this forum has tried it out and what they think.
NE146 #2 Posted February 27, 2007 Well put it this way, if there was a game on the 360 I have put hours into.. it's MLB 2K6. I'm off to download the demo now p.s. what I dug about it was the swing stick. Once you learn it, it's good fun.
Lord Helmet #3 Posted February 27, 2007 I enjoy the 2k basketball games. Their NFL game was really cool back on the old XBox before EA got exclusive rights to the league. For sports games 2k > EA
+Cobra Kai #4 Posted March 1, 2007 I bought this today. Don't have time to check it out now though, gotta watch IU vs Northwestern first, then there's an awesome Space program on PBS HD. Probably won't get any good play time until the weekend, but everything I've seen of this looks and sounds good.
+Cobra Kai #5 Posted March 3, 2007 This game feels very much like MVP baseball, any fans of that series will feel right at home. Coolest feature I've found so far is the 'baseburner' mode, where you can play the game from the perspective of any baserunner you currently have on base. I don't know if this is anything new since I've never played MLB 2k6. In fact I'm not sure what's upgraded here, all I know is that it's very similar in presentation and gameplay to the MVP series, and I loved those, so I can already tell that I'm going to spend 100's of hours on 2k7. Also, I love that there will be roster updates available through Live, in fact there's already one available right now.
