Foxsolo2000 #3 Posted March 2, 2007 Atarimania Very true but seriously all the games listed save for Ghost Busters 2 were pirates and hacks of other more well known games

Marco #5 Posted March 2, 2007 ITT Family Games - ITT Family Games is a subsidiary of ITT Schaub Lorenz, formerly a major player in the European consumer electronics industry. They produced a number of games (mostly licenced copies) with very nice cartridge labels and cover-art for the white plastic VHS tape-type boxes (although Alien's Return, Meteor Defense, and Peter Penguin have been found in cardboard boxes.) Their prime target was the German market. They produced three games that had a tie-in with the popular comic book gnome (at least in Germany, anyways) "Pumuckl". Another tie-in was with a comic space hero "Perry Rhodan" who appeared in a sci-fi magazine. When their games did not garner the interest of gamers that they had hoped for, ITT made a desperate attempt to sell some of their games for half-price through their High-Score Club. They were unsuccessful in this method as well, and this resulted in the low production rate of their later games. Too bad, we really would've liked to have seen "Pumuckl II". Most ITT games are clones or rip ofs from Homevision and R.J.P.G. games. It is not known if these games were licencend to ITT. There has even been sightings of ITT labels being glued over a Homevision cartridge label. Cheers, Marco

Ze_ro #7 Posted March 6, 2007 Most ITT games are clones or rip ofs from Homevision and R.J.P.G. games. I've seen "R.J.P.G." on-screen in a number of foreign games... what/who was R.J.P.G. anyhow? --Zero
Rom Hunter #8 Posted March 7, 2007 (edited) I've seen "R.J.P.G." on-screen in a number of foreign games... what/who was R.J.P.G. anyhow?Good question. The three known to exist R.J.P.G. games are: Frisco (AKA Peter Penguin) Racing Car (AKA Hell Driver) Ski Hunt (AKA Mountain Man) My guess is that R.J.P.G. are the initials of a programmer or in-house company that programmed for Home Vision (Gem International Corporation): http://www.atarimania.com/lst_soft-MENU-2-...UR_ID-2037.html Much like GCC did for Atari. Perhaps an examination of the three Home Vision manuals can tell us more. Edited March 7, 2007 by Rom Hunter
Spirantho #9 Posted March 7, 2007 Most of those games I don't think are pirates or hacks actually - no more than most NTSC minority games. Some of them (like Robot Attack) yes, but things like Hell Driver no. And as for the R.J.P.G. I still think the writer was a Beatles fan.
