sandmountainslim #1 Posted March 4, 2007 Any ideas on what a SNES "Control Set" (I assume that is the basic console that was sold) is worth still in the box? A friend of mine came over with one yesterday and I traded a 1930's Wilson Johnny Revolta putter for it, I value the putter at around 50 bucks give or take. Did I make out ok on this deal or did I get jacked outta my golf club? WP

It looks almost new, still has the plastic bag inside and the owners manual etc still in plastic. I don't own any SNES games but I couldn't turn it down as good as it looks. I am a VCS and NES man WP
PressureCooker2600 #5 Posted March 5, 2007 give in to the SNES, slim. i, myself, am a 2600 and NES man but the SNES has some of the greatest games ever made. Count yourself as blessed. And if you don't already have one, a Genesis is a MUST.

flyers156 #9 Posted March 16, 2007 you must buy the legend of zelda: a link to the past now and play it asap. i dont care if youve played it on the gameboy or pc, there is no experiance like playing it on the super nintendo!
Scumdogg #10 Posted March 16, 2007 As much as i love consoles from all eras, when it comes down to it the SNES is probably the greatest thing ever made. I own close to 80 games for mine, i think, and even stuff i just pick up at random is usually fun and playable, not to mention the vast array of certifiable classics available. As Obi Wan Kenobi would say at a time like this, "You've taken your first step into a larger world".
sandmountainslim #11 Posted March 15, 2008 I got the Control Set out yesterday and started to hook it up but just seeing it with the console and stuff in the plastic looks COOL, I am leary about actually taking the thing out and using it. I will bet it is worth 50 dollars or more unopened. WP
RocketLawnChair #12 Posted March 15, 2008 SNES is legendary. I'd take one over a golf club any day. Good trade.

sandmountainslim #14 Posted March 16, 2008 SNES is legendary. I'd take one over a golf club any day. Good trade. I don't golf anymore anyway, only reason I liked the old club was because it was made in the 30's. I like the SNES better though. WP
Video #15 Posted March 16, 2008 Boxed, I'd say the SNES is worth $50+, but that's just me. I'd probably pay that for a complete unboxed system myself. I'd say the SNES is probably one of the, if not the best consoles of all time. It's got a huge lineup of games, and (almost) all are playable.
