Can anyone suggest some games that are :

1) available for download

2) made good use of the character graphics in antic 4

3. Were additionally actually fun to play

Yup. Just load it in the emulator and start the monitor and type "dlist". Most of the display list lines are 4.

 

I think that Crownload and Flowers Mania are also Mode 4. These are more fun!

Oh yeah, I released the source code. That is fine. That is why it is there. So others can use C to create some other games...

i can never remember which Antic mode is which... but if Antic 4 is what i think it is, Reaxion runs in it for the title logo, the entire game screen and the picture on the completion screen.

I guess most games were antic 4 it was so easy to use.

 

I will therefore add Plastron to the list as its very simple to play but still quite fun and addictive or is that just mye :-)

Because of Antic 4 and a "child" of mine that I found:

 

 

Selfmade "colour" hires Basic game loader

 

 

 

The title screen... made in 1986

 

 

 

Without "flash" the camera seems to be very long open. So you may not recognize the "evil monster"

 

 

 

Run for the Bug's life

 

 

 

 

The game was made fully in Basic. Using Antic 4 without any PMG.

Not really a "high gaming profiler", it was only a fun game.

 

There still are some more screens inside the game.
