IronMongeR #1 Posted March 15, 2007 Turtles popped up on the Arcade yesterday costing 400 points. This is the 1989 arcade game, which I had never played before. Seems like a solid enough game, but the enemies seem pretty hard. For some reason, I had been expecting this release to be Hyperstone Heist.
moycon #2 Posted March 20, 2007 I got this today and suprisingly made it to the end first time out. Altho you do get like 20 chances people on IGN were complaining that it was too hard and that it was hard to get through the game even with multiple people playing or something like that. I used to love this game when it was in the arcades. Now it seems overly simplistic. There are only two buttons, jump and attack. Still it's only $5 and I had fun. I'm looking forward to some multiplayer matches.
EmOneGarand #3 Posted March 20, 2007 It's hard because it's a 100% port of the Arcade game which like all other Arcade games are designed to steal your money with cheap shots and high difficulty, a difficulty option would have been nice since it makes getting the Achievements a chore. Hyper_Eye #4 Posted March 20, 2007 Is it fullscreen? Particularly, is it fullscreen in 720p?
EmOneGarand #5 Posted March 20, 2007 Is it fullscreen? Particularly, is it fullscreen in 720p? It's suppose to support 720p I don't have a HD set so I can't really tell you, but you can adjust the screen size.
Flojomojo #6 Posted March 22, 2007 It's probably 720p, but it's as aliased a game as you'd expect from 1989, so don't expect HD visuals. It's faithful to the original game.
chrisbid #7 Posted March 30, 2007 how in the world did they not include local multiplayer?

Gabriel #10 Posted March 30, 2007 how in the world did you think they did not include local multiplayer? Well, it is a little counterintuitive to have local multiplayer under the "Single Player" game option.

chrisbid #12 Posted March 30, 2007 there was a quick review on g4 last week, and they mentioned that it didnt have local mutliplayer. i guess that was the problem
+kisrael #13 Posted April 5, 2007 I downloaded, it was fun to play through. We were 3 players, but at one point the 3rd guy couldn't join back in! The other 2 players could though, despite going through LOTS of lives... I dunno what happened with that. It was pretty funny, but I still hope they do the same thing when the Simpsons movie comes out :-)

It was pretty funny, but I still hope they do the same thing when the Simpsons movie comes out :-) Thats only if Vivendi stops being selfish (only having released one decent Simpsons game of their own). Konami has wanted to re-release that game but since Vivendi has the current license it's only gonna happen if they cave. Sure hope so cause that game was awesome. Edit: whoops... I meant Vivendi and not Buena Vista.. but as far as I'm concerned their both selfish companies when it comes to releasing things.. +kisrael #15 Posted April 14, 2007 You know, it's crap like that that makes me feel less bad about pirated ROMs.
