8th lutz #1 Posted March 15, 2007 http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php?id=17792&type=mov Here they are in order: 10. Batman Returns-snes 9. Golden Axe 8. BattleToads-nes 7. Streets of Rage 2-Genesis 6. River Ransom City Ransom-nes 5. Gaurdian Heroes-Saturn 4. Final Fight-arcade 3. Double Dragon-nes 2. Simpsons the arcade game-Arcade 1. TMNT 4: Turtles in Time Your thoughts. I was hoping x-man the arcade game would make it in the top 10.
Ghost Soldier #2 Posted March 16, 2007 Sounds pretty good to me. I cannot think of any other's I play more than the ones listed. Double Dragon would be #1 followed by Streets of Rage 2 on my list.
Gregory DG #3 Posted March 16, 2007 I dunno, the TMNT games get kind of tedious after about 5 minutes. I don't think there's enough variety in the turtles moves, but whatever. I think my favorite is Streets of Rage series or maybe Final Fight.
Gabriel #4 Posted March 16, 2007 WTF kind of list is that?? Someone is smoking some serious fucking hallucinogens to put Guardian Heroes on any list of anything resembling a good game. And to call Streets of Rage 2 worse than Final Fight is total idiocy. They put the utterly craptacular NES version of Double Dragon on the list? And Batman Returns? Good god! What wankers. My version of the list: 8. Final Fight (arcade) 7. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (arcade) 6. The Simpsons (arcade) 5. X-Men (arcade, double screen version) 4. Golden Axe (arcade) 3. Streets of Rage (Genesis) 2. Double Dragon Advance (GBA) 1. Streets of Rage II (Genesis) I only went with 8, because my memories of some games are a bit dim. Aliens Vs Predator and the AD&D games have a high probability of hitting the list. Knights of the Round and the original arcade Double Dragon are a possible candidates as well. Spots 6, 7, and 8 are really tough to call. Past Golden Axe, everything is a quarter sucking button masher. Ultimately the 4 player simultaneous acion of both TMNT and Simpsons make them more enjoyable than the slow moving/rapid button banging of Final Fight. If some of the games I mentioned above were fresher in my memory, they'd probably easily dethrone Final Fight.
bust3dstr8 #5 Posted March 16, 2007 I pumped quit a few quarters into Capcom's Knights of the Round back in my arcade days. The RPG element was a good idea....kept the money flowing into the machine.
vdub_bobby #6 Posted March 16, 2007 What the hell is NES Double Dragon doing on that list?
Crazy Climber #7 Posted March 16, 2007 I agree, Double Dragon should not be on the list. One player beat em ups suck balls You really need 2 players, otherwise what is the point?
BassGuitari #8 Posted March 16, 2007 I've always felt Double Dragon 2 was the best of the series. DD1 was cool, but no multiplayer, and DD3 is kinda clunky, and way too hard (for me at least). DD2 seemed to have the perfect balance of challenge and gameplay. The backwards kick came in handy quite a few times, as well. Replace Double Dragon with Double Dragon 2, and Batman Returns (wtf?) with Aliens Vs. Predator (Arcade), and the list is basically good to me, though I might shuffle the order a little. Crazy Climber #9 Posted March 16, 2007 Your thoughts. I was hoping x-man the arcade game would make it in the top 10. X-Man arcade game Does that exsist? I've never seen/heard of it.
Gabriel #10 Posted March 16, 2007 X-Man arcade game Does that exsist? I've never seen/heard of it. Yep. It was based off an original TV pilot that didn't go anywhere. There were at least two models I've seen. The first model is the sucky 1 screen version which is just two players. The other model, and the one which totally rocks, is a dual screen giant arcade machine. The two screens are side by side to emulate a single panoramic screen. I think the game is 6 player simultaneous. Check this page out: http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter...p;game_id=10496 That page doesn't show the shitty two player version, but it does show a single screen 4 player cabinet.
