Atarimania75 #2 Posted March 27, 2007 Gauntlet Malagia Gauntlet especially seems like a steal at $50. I am getting kind of skeptical at this now! I got a second chance offer on the Gauntlet one for 20 some bucks and i am just wondering if these are real since the seller seems to have so many of them now. How rare and how much are they worth if he has hundreds of them???

Myself I think $50 is fair but I have seen them go for over $100 and it doesn't suprise me one bit nor do I think its a bad price either for a real R10 that is fun to play. Atarimania75 #6 Posted March 27, 2007 So Prom's are they the actual boards that were put into the real cartridges? I am not as knowledgable about this stuff as you guys i'm sure.
ItsAtariTime #7 Posted March 27, 2007 Does anyone know where you can get the answer boards?
taxman #8 Posted March 27, 2007 (edited) Last year one Gauntlet Prom sold for $190. James Reed was giving offers to sell them on the side for $99 to people who bought Malagai proms from him at $24.99 BIN I think. http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=85715 Edited March 27, 2007 by taxman

TimsterAA #13 Posted March 27, 2007 I thought we'd already decided the last time around that this seller might be a little shady. I had also gotton a second-chance offer (even though I was the 14th and lowest bidder) on the Malagai prom for $10. I had it up in another thread, and there was a lot of skepticism. If these chips are real for real - I'd like them too!!! Does anyone really know for sure?!?! --Timster--
plaidbrad3141 #14 Posted March 27, 2007 Ok well i just bought the Malagai one for $29.99 buy it now. I trust your judgement! Send it to me and I'll build it for you. Shawn built a Malagai repro with an Answer chip for me, love it.
ItsAtariTime #15 Posted March 28, 2007 Does anyone know where you can get the answer boards? inside a pacman cart Hey Shawn, Thanks.. but I already knew the PacMan cart will work with these chip..however I would reallt like to get my hands on 2 Answer boards and mount a couple of these. That would be the closest I would get to originals.
TimsterAA #16 Posted March 31, 2007 If anyone who bought one of these (Atarimania75?) could report back to the board that you actually 1) receive the item, and 2) it's the real deal, I for one would appreciate it! And Shawn Sr - how much would you charge to convert one or both of these proms into a full-fledged repro? Thanks! --Timster--

That would be the closest I would get to originals. Then they would be original just hand assembled.
Phantom #18 Posted March 31, 2007 Ok well i just bought the Malagai one for $29.99 buy it now. I trust your judgement! Send it to me and I'll build it for you. Hey pal I was first in that line, if you build it, we will come and the seller sent me a picture of 6 Gauntlets in his hand at one time so i bought my 2nd chance offers ven though some here got offers for $10!!!! Enough to slightly piss me off. I paid 29 for malagai And 26 for Gauntlet because i got outbid too quickly so go figure. I wish I stopped earlier on the malagai one too but who knew. TimsterAA #19 Posted April 2, 2007 Well... this seller now has a 'factory tube' of 15 of these Malagai proms. LISTING HERE How can there suddenly be an endless supply of these things??? This is a R9 game, is it not? At this rate, his next listing will be a pickup truck bed full of Malagai & Gauntlet proms for a $1,000 BIN! --Timster--
PressureCooker2600 #20 Posted April 3, 2007 pretty shifty if ya ask me.....
taxman #21 Posted April 3, 2007 Is that a brazilian tube?
Shawn #22 Posted April 3, 2007 The fact that you have to do some dirty work to actually make a working game out of one of these chips will keep them worth something at least assembled. Hell I don't mind one bit if I can get a bunch for next to nothing and build them into carts to share with others that don't have the skill to do so themselves. Phantom #23 Posted April 5, 2007 BTW, my chips came today and were here when i got home tonight. i tested them about 11pm and they were fine. He supposedly worked for Answer or some shit like that. I have to get to bed, cyas
