$50 for modded PS1?

A local store has a modded PS1 for sale for $50. I just got a PS2 so I dont think I need the clutter, but the damned games are getting hard to find. A friend of mine has an archive of PS1 games since he's heavily into PS1 on PSP emulation.

Should I go for it? I doubt it will be there long, and I do have some extra cash from taxes

Go for it. I have one and while I don't play it a lot (I just have too many systems ), I do play it. Great for imports or "back-ups".

I think $50 is a fair deal, especially if it's the cutie-pie PSOne. It's tricky to find PSX games nowadays unless you're a scurvy dog.

I agree, it's a great deal. I also got an internal VCD mod (hard as HELL to find today) and it works great! It'll play my imports, my 'creativly licensed', music and VCDs all orig. or burned.

Oh, my first modded PS was a (I forget the model number) old(er) style. It had some heat issues. When it was on for 3+ hours, it'd lock up. The modded psone works like a gem!!
