possible worst use of a petition ever: DMC4

Recommended Posts

PS3 owners are mad at Capcom because other people can play their game. This worst sign of fanboyism that I've heard or read about and it is the dumbest thing I see a ps 3 fanboy do or say. The ps 3 owners went way too far.

Back in when I was in middle school, I heard of people claiming that the snes was the better system and the sega genesis had the graphics and the sound of an atari 2600 and that was back in early 1993 and that included Sonic 1 &2.

It there has to be a petition, it can't be something so selfish as this. I understand it is for bringing a game that is Japan only to the anther country in the world like the United States or Canada, not for punishing people who don't own a ps 3.

The days of having exclusive 3rd party games for the most part are long gone.

Yeah. That's pretty dumb.

But, to be fair, I recall GameCube fans complaining about some Resident Evil game or something when it went multiplatform. I don't think they did a petition, though.

It's stupid to begrudge owners of other consoles a wider variety of games. Sure, argue the merits of different versions of a game all you want. If a game is being ported to a console which is clearly a bad choice in terms of capabilities, bitch away. But neither applies here.

Alot of this desperation stems from the Blu-Ray fans as well, as they view losing exclusive games as lost BD player sales. The more exclusives that leave the PS3, the more reasons people have to shy away from the console, which happens to be THE primary BD player out today. The reason it's all so interconnected this way is because both formats, the PS3 and Blu-Ray are tied hand in hand and are completely dependant upon eachother for each formats success. If one format suffers (either the Console, or the BD format as a whole), both will suffer equally. You can't have the PS3 do bad and expect BD to succeed IMHO. And vice versa.

I don't think the Blue Ray folks really need to worry. As little as I care about high def DVD it still is pretty apparently that Sony is going to come out on top in that battle. They already have the best selection of movies and would easily be my choice if I was upgrading.

Nothing is even close to being settled in the HD format war really, as both markets combined only make up %1 of the home video market. Sony has an edge currently thanks to the PS3 surge, but if HD DVD hangs around long enough I think we'll see an eventual cohabitation of both formats, with most studios going nuetral. Trust me, from reading the HD forums out there, BD fans would like nothing more than to kill HD DVD, and when most of the BD owners out there are PS3 owners, they view losing game exclusives as hurting BD strangely enough, but not without merit.

I was pissed when Guitar Hero was announced for the 360. I was kinda hoping I would finally have something my friends couldn't. Plus, I don't have the money to fork out on a 360. I was always talking about GH and GH2 and they would sit there in a confused stare........now, they just laugh and say...we get downloadable tracks and 10 special songs. :x bastards!

Blame skyrocketing development costs of the 360/PS3 gen. You want fancy smancy graphics then you've got to play the price.

Screw Capcom!

I'm still pissed they moved Megaman from Nintendo to Sony!

Damn them and their backstabbing ways! It's not about making money, it's about showing your support for the hardware company! They act like they're running a business or something!

I love Nintendo, but the 2D MEgaman games would have sucked hard on the 64

That's not the point!

The point is they BETRAYED Nintendo! Megaman started on Nintendo, it should've stayed there regardless of it was really a good idea or not!

That is completely stupid, if Capcom will make it multi-platform what's so bad about it? There is no harm in 360 having the right to play DMC4.

I miss the days were exclusives were the key to buying a console, but this is too much.

Humbug....

You will rarely see games staying on one system.

Zelda will always be Nintendo. Same for Mario Games.

Metal Gear (I thought) would be always Sony (I'm not counting the NES games and stuff). But that will change in the future due to the cost of production. I don't blame Konami at all for this.

Halo will always be Micrsoft. I don't like Halo anyways. LOL

I don't understand why people keep referring to Metal Gear as a Sony-exclusive franchise. Wasn't MGS:2 released on the Xbox, albeit a bit late? And what about Snake Eater on the Gamecube? MGS:4 going to multiple platforms shouldn't be surprising anyone.

MGS1 got a Win9x port as well. Hit around the same time as the VR disk, if I'm not mistaken.

Snake Eater (MGS3) was exclusive to the PS2. The Twin Snakes (MGS1 with upgraded graphics and abilities) is the one you're thinking about. I wouldn't mind seeing more MGS games coming to different consoles. One for the DS would be great.

lol, i watched AOTS on G4 and i guess the fanboys are now saying they wont buy anything from Capcom anymore until they change their minds.

Also, on AOTS, they were talking about the Xbox 360 Elite, god, things are getting insane this generation, it's just plain rediculous. I mean, $480 for the "kickass" 360, $600 for a PS3, i mean, look at all the generations before this, no successful system was $400 or above(correct me if im wrong), and now, OMG, it's crazy. My situation, if i wanted to get a decked out 360....Xbox 30 Premium(already have)-$400, 120 HDD-$180, and HD-DVD Drive-$200, that's what, $780 in one fucking system? A system that always breaks down also? Ahh, i remember simpler times.......

I have a question, Would there be any way to transfer data from one HDD to another? I dont want to lose all my stuff if i want to get a new, upgraded HDD. That is crazy though, i have the choice of buying a Wii, or a bigger HDD for almost the same price.

As i speak, i guess the new episode of X-Play is on, and they are talking about the Shivering Isles.....things are moving WAY to fast right now. I still need to get Knights of the Nine.......

And I just realized that Attack of the Show is actually a good show to watch, there is alot of stuff recapped there.

G4 is just trash now, it was created for gamers, but, as the current line-up of shows clearly show, it is not. There is so much bullshit shows on there now it is just unbelievable.

I had it on because i was bored, i basically stopped watching it when they took off ICONS, i really used to love that show, but nooooo.

Not if they made it right.....

And since we brought up Mega Man....and me being a HUGE fan of the original 8 games.....I'd like to state for the record that the MegaMan X series sucks, I never liked any of them and I think it ruined the series......not to mention the Battle Network games....damn......

PLEASE CAPCOM!!!!! PLEASE BRING BACK THE CLASSIC MEGAMAN!!!!!!!

The 120 GB HDD comes with a data transfer cable.

Datel also makes(and has for some time) an accessory to let you access your 360 hard drive from the computer. I assume they're updating the software to support 120 GB drives as we speak, if it didn't already.

And I agree with the prices. I think that's half the Wii's popularity, it's cheap.

I think the aging gamer population has soemthing to do with the Wii's popularity too. There are a lot of gamers looking for the quick fix type of games, much like the DS offers, thanks to busy lives and family obligations and the Wii fits that bill insanely well.

As a side note - stats are showing Blue Ray with a definite lead - I think it was 70% to 30% of high definition DVD sales.

The petition had, as of press time, received a total of more than 7,500 signatures. Though with samples including, "This petition is retarded," "This is the stupidest thing I've ever seen," and "I got a big ****," it's hard to gauge how accurate a judge of outrage it is.
