This felt like a good deal!

Recommended Posts

I just got a package I won on eBay and it turned out to be very nice!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...p;rd=1&rd=1

It had a heavy sixer system, original CX-10 joysticks, original paddles, and original driving controllers. The driving controllers did not work, but does anyone know how to clean these? I opened them up and it has the square grey plastic shell type inside. The paddles were jitter free and the joysticks worked great and gave me a place to put the hex I've had for a while.

The serial number is fairly early too and I'll have to add it to that thread (20430F).

You got a good deal there. All original equipment. I use contact cleaner to clean out my paddles. You can get it at an electronics shop. I have not tried it on driving controllers, but I don't see why it wouldn't work on that too.

Thanks for the advice, I was able to pop apart the grey box and cleaned out the inside really good. It appears the grease that is used to make turning the controller easier got all over the place. Covered the contacts and about everything else inside there. Once that was all cleaned off the controller works better than new now. The control and precision is amazing!

I'll have to go through all my driving controllers.

Here is what the grey box looked like before I popped it open.

Here is my new best at INDY 500 Devil's Elbow on setting A (fast speed) thanks to the new controller!

Over 12-1/2 laps! This is good for me.
