Updated Nov 12th. Click the link under the photo, if you care to see a larger version of the picture.

About the flags, I am not a communist!

That is an old ROMANIAN flag, not a USSR one.

There are more flags not in view.

Including English and WW1 German.

5th photo is already outof date, that part of the room now looks like this;

altough that photo too, is outdated, as I now I have my latpop and web phone set up on that very desk, and am posting this message from the games room.

This room measures roughly 10ft by 11ft, with a small bay window, and the total cost of all of the funriture is £12, it's all been salvaged, which is why none of it mathces., and I have no spare money, and nearly everything in the photos has bought on the cheap, from car boot sales and charity shops etc etc

:D

I've seen those Super Megason type things before, out at a local flea market. Although they weren't labeled "Super Megason", they had some other stupid name, and Pikachu stickers all over it. There was a game or two with Pokemon characters hacked into it. I bought their 114-in-1 cart (seven actual games on it) that had a badly drawn Sonic hacked into Super Mario Bros.! And the label had a picture of one of the chicks from Final Fantasy on it, and was labeled "Pac-Man"! I wish Pac-Man really did look that good!

My wife and I just agreed to rearrange a few of the rooms in our house, resulting in our former bedroom becoming my game room/music studio! Aside from our basement in Atlanta which was unusable for half of the year because it wasn't heated (yes, believe it or not it was in the WINTER and not in the SUMMER that it was unusable, even though it was in Atlanta), this is the first time since we were married over 8 years ago that I've truly had my own space.

I'm getting it set up right now... still in some transition. But I've got my TV with the 2600, 5200, Intellivision, NES, and GameCube all hooked up, plus the computer and some of the musical gear is set up. I hope to have it mostly done this weekend and I will post pics as soon as possible!

(Unfortunately, the Asteroids cocktail is still in the basement... but if I get it working I might see if I can cram it in the room somewhere.)

OK, I finally have my new game room set up enough to post some pics. Sorry for the quality... I saved them as low quality JPEGs so they wouldn't be ridiculously huge files.

1: This is the view of the game/computer corner. The unit on the wall holds all of my 5200 and GameCube games, plus selected 2600, Intellivision and NES games and my gatefold sleeve King Crimson CDs. :) My parents just brought up the 20-inch TV today to replace the rather miserable 20-year-old 13-inch I originally had in here. Anybody need an RF modulator? Inside the TV unit I have 5 game systems hooked up. The white metal shelving unit holds some miscellaneous collection-related stuff (including my Sears Super Video Arcade box and my Unisonic Tournament 2000, which at the moment is still packed inside) as well as some musical equipment (cords, etc.) and the iMac has been my trusty friend since around the time I joined these forums!

1.jpg

2: Here's a close-up of the wall unit. The boxes on top are just some for fun... they're about 1/3 of my game boxes. The other stuff on top is just some antique junk I found at my in-laws' farmhouse before they sold it. The games in the unit are fairly self-explanatory...

2.jpg

3: This is what you'd see if you were to "pan" right from picture #1. Bookcase, gig bags (my Music Man bass is in the black case), my guitars (yes, plural... the electric is hiding stealthily behind the acoustic in this photo) and keyboard. The art on the wall should be easy to recognize. I scanned game instruction manuals at super-high resolution and printed these out on my HP inkjet. The djembe was a gift from my sister-in-law who lives in Australia (although I believe she bought it in the States).

3.jpg

4: Back to the TV unit. On the left side are the 2600 (actually a Sears 6-switch) and the 5200. The controllers are a bit messy but hey, it's because I've been playing the games, which I'd been sorely missing!

4.jpg

5: Here's the right side of the unit. Top shelf is the NES and GameCube, plus two switches... the 4-switch on the left has RCA plugs and currently runs the GameCube and NES. The smaller switch is a 2-switch coaxial, which, with some manual wire-swapping, is my method for switching between the 2600, 5200, Intellivision, and regular TV signal. And of course, the Intellivision (OK, Sears Super Video Arcade) is below.

5.jpg

6: Last but not least, we have what's right where I was standing when I took pic #1. More books, and my Battlestar Galactica poster, which I acquired (free) at a yard sale in Chicago back in May. They had a big box full of these things, brand new. They had been a cereal giveaway. Note that the Lorne Greene and Richard Hatch characters are not actually showing their faces in this poster... hmm... :ponder:;) $$$
