I didn't have the cash on me at the time. So, yep, I lucked out.

 

I lost out on a fairly good deal for a TG Duo system, along with roughly 20 games. The guy wanted around $200 for it. So I gave him $20 to HOLD it for me while I went up the street to get cash out of the ATM. When I returned, less then 30 minutes later, he sold it. Then he pointed me to a bunch of scratched crappy PS1 sports games and said "take your pick, sorry about that.".

I was PISSED!!!!

 

I also was buying a Nomad from someone at the fleamarket. I actually had the thing in my hand, and asked the guy how much it was. He said $10. I said cool, and reached for my wallet. A guy comes up behind me and took the damn nomad right out of my hand and said I'll give your $15 instead and handed the money to the seller. The seller said ok and I was left there with a stupid look on my face. That one pissed me off too.

 

Then... there was one day I was at the same flea market. A guy was selling a PSone with the LCD screen and a handful of good games. He wanted $40. I decided to pass on it.. even though I wanted one at the time. I walked across the street to the other side and saw a guy selling a Colecovision. I didn't know much about them, but I figured that I'd buy it because it came with a box of games as well (Coleco and Atari games). Alsong with the system, I got the steering wheel, the roller controller, the atari 2600 attachment and a few other things. All of it was for $40

 

I made out like a bandit on that one! I eventually sold it to a fewllow member here that lived near me. He had a better passion for Coleco than I did. I got a few rare games in that deal as well on the Atari 2600 side. If I remember correctly, I had my Star Wars The Arcade Game, Pitfall2 and River Raid 2 from that lot. Other stuff as well.
