UK Keyboard

Recommended Posts

When i use Atari800Win plus 4 or any other emulator, when typing in programs or using basic when i have to put in the quotation marks "" i have to press [shift & #], where as on a english keyboard you press [shift & 2], so you can guess my frustration, so what i'am asking is as anybody got the keyboard file or other that will let me do the above

By default, A800Win maps to a "normal" PC keyboard layout.

Which in my case means things are as the keycaps say they are.

Does the double quote share the hash (#) key on UK keyboards?

I suppose that means you press Shift-3 for the Pound (Sterling) sign?

You could always just copy the default layout to another file, then edit it to suit you.

So the # key is on a different location on UK keyboards?

Copy the layout to another filename, then do you load it and edit it in Atari800Win+ from the Input->keyboard pulldown menu.

On my keyboard, the " is a shifted ' (between ; and Enter keys).

the @ and " are swapped around on the uk keyboard, that's the biggest bugbear with the layout.. the # is near the enter key on uk keyboard layouts
