Extension cables and other controllers?

I bought a couple from Best and my Wico trackball doesn't work with them, only the fire button works.

 

Nor does the second button on the 7800 controller work when I use it with that system

 

I assume it's because not all of the pins are wired

 

Are there any cables that you can get that work with all 2600/7800 controllers?

Sega extension cables for usually have all nine wires attatched.
