Lauren Tyler #1 Posted April 14, 2007 It's been barely noticeable for awhile, but now there are quite a few specks underneath it. Is there any way I can clean it out, or should I send it to Sony?
Elthesh #2 Posted April 14, 2007 I dunno what the inside of a PSP looks like, but I have an LCD cd player that had those dust specs so I pulled it apart and with a can of compressed air and a bit of work, I cleaned all the dust off and resealed it. Works just fine still, but as I said, I dunno anything about taking apart a PSP. Could be a different deal.

Danno #4 Posted April 14, 2007 Get a #0 or #1 philips head screwdriver set from Radio Shack for $4.99, and a can of compressed air. there are 5 screws you will need to remove to take the cover off. One on the bottom of the console, and then two on the right (you'll see the holes) and two on the left under the battery if you are looking at the back of the PSP. There are 4 screws under the battery, but only two need to be removed to open it. The ones to remove on the left under the battery are the BLACK ones to the far left, top and bottom. The bottom one is under a sticker. You will have to peel the sticker away. You DO NOT have to remove the silver screws under the battery to open your PSP. It's really easy, but make sure you do it in a dust-free room.
