godzillajoe #1 Posted April 21, 2007 How many are there available here besides Missile Command? Also, is this supported with the Stelladaptor?
Thomas Jentzsch #2 Posted April 21, 2007 How many are there available here besides Missile Command? Zero. Also, is this supported with the Stelladaptor? AFAIK not. IIRC the required data rate is too high.

Thomas Jentzsch #5 Posted April 22, 2007 Wrong. Centipede 7800 was hacked by kenfused to work with the CX-22. Well, this is the Atari 2600 forum.
godzillajoe #6 Posted April 22, 2007 Bummer. It's a shame Atari didn't do more with the trackball for the 2600. What about which games you think would benefit from such a hack? Nexar, Millipede, Reactor, Crystal Castles, Crossbow, Fast Food, RealSports Tennis are the ones I'd like to see
A.J. Franzman #7 Posted April 23, 2007 (edited) Reading a trackball (in true trackball mode), like reading a paddle controller, takes a lot of processor time to do well on the 2600. So it isn't very likely that any more hacks such as those games you list above will ever be done. Edited April 23, 2007 by A.J. Franzman
Thomas Jentzsch #8 Posted April 23, 2007 Actually reading trackball data is even worse than reading paddles. So the chances are even lower than 0.
