Largest and Smallest Functional NES Controllers

Geez that is one tiny controller! It's hard to tell if that controller has an actual parallel to serial shift register that standard NES controller has or if there's 9 physical wires and the shift chip is elsehwere like at the console plug.

 

I think we can beat that and make 2600 joystick smaller than that.

That's friggin cool there. I thought about building an uber large (or small) controller befor. I also remember someone built a Gameboy the size of a refridgorator and called it Game Man or something and that would have been really cool. :D

 

Wonder what the largest and smallest commercially released controllers are? I know the Dogbone is pretty small, but I seem to remember a controller about the size of a calculator wristwatch in the late 80's early 90's and thought that would be cool. Don't remember if ti was a NES or SNES though, but it was one of thsoe.
