lucifershalo #1 Posted May 5, 2007 I have joystick, paddle, driving, quickshot (with button on the top) and foot pedal controllers...what is the best combination to play Thrust? And I suppose that for gravitar only the joystick can be used?
Thomas Jentzsch #2 Posted May 5, 2007 I always play with a simple joystick, some like playing with two buttons and others prefer the DC with the footpedal. So what can I say?
lucifershalo #3 Posted May 5, 2007 up to me, right? try all the different solutions and then I can choose....
+remowilliams #4 Posted May 5, 2007 I definitely prefer the DC and footpedal combo.
lucifershalo #5 Posted June 23, 2007 I cant make it work the footpedal responds but not the Driving controller in port 2 any idea?
Thomas Jentzsch #6 Posted June 23, 2007 I cant make it work the footpedal responds but not the Driving controller in port 2 any idea? Except for the standard tests you probably did already (check the DC with other games in port 2, check the footpedal switches), I have no idea. How does the ship react? Does fire work? lucifershalo #7 Posted June 23, 2007 I checked indy 500, port 2 works fine thrust, fire, shield on the footpedal are working in port
lucifershalo #8 Posted June 23, 2007 On the footpedal, I selected fire, left and right on joystick position or not?
Thomas Jentzsch #9 Posted June 23, 2007 On the footpedal, I selected fire, left and right on joystick position or not? Not sure. Left and right should be done with the DC. Did you follow the instructions for the footpedal? I'd have to unpack my own footpedal for testing.
lucifershalo #10 Posted June 23, 2007 I dont have any instructions for the footpedal there are 4 positions joystick-1-2-3 so I assumed any postions you dont use should be put on "joystick"
EricDeLee #11 Posted June 23, 2007 You assume correctly. As for combinations of controllers... etc... I think I've had my best scores on the footpedal and a Sega controller. I will be leaving joystick inputs on my Countertop project so that I can plug in the foot pedal and play Thrust the way I like it.
