This one sucked! How did the 5200 rank higher then the Jaguar along with the Phantom being mentioned since it was not released?

 

The sega addons should've been seperate. They got the fact wrong with the 32x, be called a cd machine that get hooked by the genesis to play cd games. I own a 32x and it was hooked by the sega genesis I own and it ownly can play cartridges.

 

The add-on they were claiming that plays cds is called the 32x cd. You needed Sega genesis and Sega cd componets besides the 32x in order to play cd games.

Our list beats the crap out of that one.

 

While we have a few really obscure systems that maybe had runs in the hundreds, at least we don't have any completely imaginary ones like the Phantom on our list.

 

Interesting how the only matches with the AtariAge list and this one are the RZone and CDi.

The N-Gage is worse than the Phantom. A system with about 15 A - A+ rated games, as many again or more good - decently rated games, the first ever online anywhere service, Xbox Live like profiles, a built in Radio and MP3 player, emmulation abilities, the ability to play hundreds of java and phone games, some PDA functionality (including use of blue tooth keyboards), that doubles as a mass storage device, portable internet system, and telephone is worse than something that doesn't even fucking exist! Yeah, that's brilliant. Way to go you fucking wankers.

Yeah, the 5200 was a waste of solder and plastic. It was such a horrible system that 25+ years later, a website with 11,000+ members were a buzz with the release of (yet another) brand new game.

And that's the problem with all the lists except the ones here at Atariage. All these other lists do is parrot back what each other already said. It makes easy, almost funny, reading, and fills a lot of pages for the people publishing the lists. They don't want to leave out a system people expect to see on there, as it would hurt their "cred" (Johnny Chav: "Hey Gamespot and IGN said the Jaguar sucked, how come Gamespy is leaving it out. They must be stupid"). Also, the people they are selling to are like the Aliens in that episode of Futurama who want to watch Alley McNeal. If the list contained systems they had never heard of, they'd get confused and scared. They don't want to think. Also, if they've never seen an RCA studio 2 in other magazines or online and have never cared that the thing existed, then they won't care much that it's on the list. Meanwhile, they rea about the Jag being sucky for the ten millionth time and they know to wait for the "should have buried it in the same pit as the 10 billion (that's how high the exaggeration is by this point) ET carts". Then Johny chav goes back to anxiously awaiting Mario Theft Fable 28 like a good little drone.
