pis #1082 Posted August 2, 2011 Also found the HES donkey kong instructions. Unfortunently the hit pak instructions was to big to fit in the scaner.

high voltage #1086 Posted August 2, 2011 (edited) i got HES Donkey Kong, but get this, the cover is sellotaped to the box and I don't think I can remove it without damaging the cover. Nevertheless, there are no instructions on the back of the cover. I have Go for Gold, Titlematch, Sports Action Pak (damaged cover), Rampage and, Super Action Pak, I see what I can do. +thegoldenband #1087 Posted August 3, 2011 (edited) I just got an oddball lot from shopgoodwill.com with a mix of 2600 and 7800 stuff. I'll post more about it elsewhere, but included were a couple things that might be of interest for purposes of this thread + the undumped thread: #1 - a loose Pete Rose Baseball (2600), which is apparently PAL. The screen rolls, the grass is pink, and the label is a full-color picture with a green end label. Is this the HES version? It doesn't say "HES" anywhere on the game, only Absolute, but that's also what the cart label scan on Atarimania has. #2 - these two SuperVision multicarts, which at first glance don't appear to be in the Atarimania database. Are scans of these needed? (see attached picture for a low-quality preview) What's strange is that while all the games on the River Raid/Kangaroo I/etc. cart are PAL, 4-5 of the games on the Soccer/Missle 3000 [sic]/etc. cart appear to be NTSC. Gorf, Soccer, Video Pinball, and Carnival all appeared to be the NTSC versions -- they didn't roll, and the colors looked right -- and there may be one more. Where were these sold? The cart shells claim to be "Made in U.S.A."... Edited August 3, 2011 by thegoldenband

nofrills100 #1094 Posted August 3, 2011 just curious - what makes you think it is a bootleg?
Tom Blair #1095 Posted August 3, 2011 I have some other games with such a cheap box. It´s the same box construction and card case like this one:
nofrills100 #1096 Posted August 3, 2011 that one finally prooves that those parker games in atari case weren't bootlegs but actually originals ... made by General Mills for Parker Bros. in germany I have some other games with such a cheap box. It´s the same box construction and card case like this one: perhaps so. But didn't JahFish link these to genuine releases?
Rom Hunter #1097 Posted August 3, 2011 Long time no see, Tom! All added. Excellent scans, as usual. The weird thing about this Tennis is that, although it's PAL, it carries a NTSC model number. I don't think Activision would make that mistake (the only thing they did was putting NTSC ROMS into International Edition carts for Canada). Therefore, I will add it to the Taiwan - Bootleg section. On the other hand: it almost looks too correct to be a bootleg. Jah has indeed found out about this General Mills release: http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-2600-vcs-star-wars-the-empire-strikes-back_8164.html but did not find any proof that these boxes also carry grip style cases, like this one: http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-2600-vcs-frogger_20988.html and this one: http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-2600-vcs-chopper-command_20987.html
high voltage #1098 Posted August 3, 2011 (edited) I tried doing Doneky Kong HES with box. see bottom right, the cover is sellotaped to the box and behind strenghtened with cardboard, must have been a dodgy box. Weird thing is it says 'turn slick over for instructions', and, as previously mentioned, there aren't any.
