+thegoldenband
Rom, are scans of the SuperVision multicarts needed/wanted, or are those a matter of indifference/very low priority? I notice there aren't any in the Atarimania database's entries for most of the SuperVision 8-in-1 carts. nofrills100
A new 8in1: Chopper Command Jaw Breaker Space War Keystone Kapers Spider Fighter Mid Way Ski Hunt Gas Hog Sorry small image again - but you get the picture I just got an oddball lot from shopgoodwill.com with a mix of 2600 and 7800 stuff. I'll post more about it elsewhere, but included were a couple things that might be of interest for purposes of this thread + the undumped thread: #1 - a loose Pete Rose Baseball (2600), which is apparently PAL. The screen rolls, the grass is pink, and the label is a full-color picture with a green end label. Is this the HES version? It doesn't say "HES" anywhere on the game, only Absolute, but that's also what the cart label scan on Atarimania has. #2 - these two SuperVision multicarts, which at first glance don't appear to be in the Atarimania database. Are scans of these needed? (see attached picture for a low-quality preview) What's strange is that while all the games on the River Raid/Kangaroo I/etc. cart are PAL, 4-5 of the games on the Soccer/Missle 3000 [sic]/etc. cart appear to be NTSC. Gorf, Soccer, Video Pinball, and Carnival all appeared to be the NTSC versions -- they didn't roll, and the colors looked right -- and there may be one more. Where were these sold? The cart shells claim to be "Made in U.S.A."... Rom, are scans of the SuperVision multicarts needed/wanted, or are those a matter of indifference/very low priority? Rom - you should at least enter the cart into the database, even without scans, just to record their existence.
Rom Hunter
Already did that some time ago. I have tons of new VCS titles to add the coming period. Have them all listed from Brazilian / Argentinian E-Bay from the past year. We will easily pass the 8000 entries. jahfish
And i think these might also be missing? why isn't that dutch pirate called reefer raid? Edited August 8, 2011 by jahfish
jahfish
Rom - you should at least enter the cart into the database, even without scans, just to record their existence. i think the color variations (of the case) should at least be mentioned and have a picture for each ... then you could use generic pics/scans for each similar cartridge. would be totally fine for me. personaly i just collect on game from each pirate company (except for a few ones already in my collection), but some people might want to know what all the released games are available. Cart variation overviews of each company will be added in the future. Clicking on the company's logo will show the history of that company and all of it's cart and label variations. Patience. It still shows the lay-out of a Multi Game box. Nice variation.
jahfish
Interesting one. It still shows the lay-out of a Multi Game box. Nice variation. not just the layout ... it actually has the manuals foe the games and screenshots on the back. so i'd say: (1) the box has the wrong cart inside (though being produced by the same company) (2) the company stopped producing 2-in-ones and put a single game in there (3) they were too fuckin lazy to do boxes for each game and decided they would put either one of the two games inside

But it actually seems like option 3 is more likely. They did however change the design to print 'skirun' across the top instead of 'multigame'. Unike the other single game in that series where they just put an end label over the 2in1 game title. Just strange!
jahfish
in the days of offset printing, you'd only have to change one film/plate to make it a "tic tac toe" box then ... that is if the background is 100% cyan only
boxpressed
Here are scans of the gray box Canyon Bomber made in Hong Kong in 1988. Apologies for the slightly blurry part on the back; that part of the box was dented, and I did what I could to smooth it out.
+thegoldenband
This thread has three interesting pictures from a Mexican poster (as well as a fourth with some common games). Two of them, Tanque Robot and Seesaw, I was able to find in the Atarimania database, but I wasn't able to spot the third, Firebird. There are other games with similar names in the database (Fire Bird, Fire Birds) but none of them match the cartridge art depicted in nanochess's picture. Have I merely overlooked a known title, or is this a new one?

We still don't have a scan of it in our database.
