Crackdown Update Worthwhile?

Anyone do the Crackdown update?

Yep. I think it's worth it. You get some killer new weapons, and the new vehicles are *awesome*. The tank with the autofire rocket launcher is just hillariously fun. There are new minigames (rocket tag, orb hunt etc), and some other fun stuff. It's renewed my interest.

Totally made the game worth going thru again. I normally don't like cheats, but opening the "Keys to the city" cheats are great. God mode is awesome. Some of the best points I have ever spent.

So I finally got some quality time to spend with Crackdown, and it's a hoot!

 

Sure it owes it's existence to the modern GTA, but damn it's silly fun. Kind of a cross between GTA and an over the top super hero game.

Sure it owes it's existence to the modern GTA, but damn it's silly fun. Kind of a cross between GTA and an over the top super hero game.

It is a good game. It doesn't do over the top Super Hero as well as Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, and it doesn't do weapons in a world as well as Mercenaries, but it's a nice blend of the two genres.

 

Technically it was my "killer app" for buying a 360... haven't really gotten into anything else deeply on the system, though I enjoy the Arcade very much.
