Maybe this went un noticed or maybe this is a sign that things are going back to normal but this seems like a fair price for this game

I thought for sure it would go for the insane $200+ that mid-range games seem to be going for lately. Now maybe I can start collecting again :)

buyatari( 621) US $80.00

missed it by that much

one night in parishilton knocked me off the Boing! auction that same seller had up last night. Missed it by $2.50 You can't say what they were willing to pay though, could be a $200 bid on that Polaris auction. You miss it by a $1 but would have lost out with a $175 bid.

I had this auction on my watch list and was in the process of putting in a bid in the $70 range when I saw it jump past what I was willing to pay. I had a bid in my mind, and I was sticking to it.

Did i miss out on a CIB Boing? How much did it go for? Why didn't anyone post about it on here?

That Boing! box was PAL though, correct? Or are they the same with a small sticker indicating it's PAL?

You're right - the box had a PAL sticker on it. It should only affect NTSC-only snobs though

The same seller who had Polaris had Boing.

From the auction text: "There is a sticker on the box indicating it is a PAL cart but no other indication on the cartridge itself - I dont know if this was available in both formats or not. I dont normally collect Atari, I am a Coleco guy but when I played it on my Coleco ADAM with the Atari Expansion module, it came up fine on my screen with no scrolling or distortion."

This was the only thing that gave me pause, as it was not definite if the cart was NTSC or not. (As for the box, I would've just pulled that PAL sticker off.) The cart was the standard case, not the Xonox style one. According to atarimania.com, the Xonox style is NTSC only, while the standard style is found in both NTSC and PAL formats.

Well i remember when this ebayer one that big lot of stuff with the colecovision system and all. That Plaidbrad ruined the buy it now too! LOL Both of those games were in there for like a $350 buy it now or something, but i remember the shipping being about $100 or so. I'd like a boxed Boing sometime and can't believe i missed it.

As for Polaris i don't really understand why this one doesn't at least get over $100 it is a pretty rare title. Or maybe ithe box isn't really that rare because of the Blue end label one and then the rarer Green Label.......I saw one up for sale for $79.99 buy it now and it lasted a week or more a short time before this auction started. So sometimes you are better putting up auctions rather than buy it nows LOL!

Hmmm.....not all the time! I bought a Qbert's Qubes lot for $50 which ended up being a huge suprise when i pulled the other games out to find Sears Pic Label after Sears Pic Label (Superman, Night Driver, and more included) :) Then i also purchased a nice Quadrun game in a lot with a heavy sixer for $130! And i did get my Polaris complete in box for around $65 or so. :)

SO THERE!!! :P

I personally didn't know what they went for........I never saw them on the rarity list which is a bit strange. The cart looks authentic to me! A reliable source just told me the last one sold for around $500. I decided to put it in my Blue Sears Superman box. :)

Yeah, when I posted these on Ebay I thought I would get less for Boing! and more for Polaris but it all came out in the wash so to speak. Sorry to those who may have been interested in one or the other for not posting a heads up here, but as I said in my listing, I am a Coleco guy and dont hang out here as often as I should.

Nope, it looks like that one was PAL. I've seen PAL Polaris sell CIB for around $10. Makes NTSC only collectors look insane

I was wondering if it was after I read the Boing discription and saw that it was PAL. I would glady purchase a CIB Polaris in PAL format for 10 bucks, it's actually a very fun game to play as well :) Anybody got one :ponder:
