+kheller2
List updated. I'm thinking that these serial dates (015xxx) should be changed to week 04 since I found one on ebay USA 1983 04 24-Jan-83 015042 83S DA 015042 043 eBay -- The 043 was/is questionable as the bottom of the 0 is cutoff. But it seems to be the only logical solution at the moment and is constant with the first few weeks being a mess of random serials. USA 1983 ?? #VALUE! 015265 83S DA 015265 ??3 Timothy Kline USA 1983 ?? #VALUE! 015387 83S DA 015387 ??3 unknown USA 1983 ?? #VALUE! 015947 83S DA 015947 ??3 Deteacher

6BQ5
I recently got a 1200XL off of eBay. The serial number is 83S DA 003362 #083. It is a USA made unit. So, does this mean it was manufactured in the 8th week of 1983 and it was the 3362-nd unit made? Looking at the table in the first post I see the maximum SN for the US made units is 79889 and the maximum SN for the Asian made units is 28817. Adding the two together gives 108706 units made, potentially?
6BQ5
I opened up my 1200XL to inspect the inside and found some more dating information. First picture is a top-down view of the top of the motherboard. Maybe nothing special there. Just a clean, unmodified board. Second picture is a top-down view of the bottom of the motherboard. I found a date sticker there! Third picture is the date sticker! Fourth picture shows what may be another date sticker. This is on the back of the keyboard. Should I read the date on the keyboard as Feb 03, 1983? I think I will take June 15, 1983 as the 1200XL's birthday.
+slx
43S DA 49813 178 USA When I posted this I looked at the number through bubble-wrap. Since all 1200XL serial numbers start with 82S(USA) or 72R(Hong Kong) the first digit should be an 8. It's indeed 83S DA 49813 179 (or maybe one 173) Interestingly it doesn't have any of the labels shown above on the mainboard. I just "repaired" the keyboard using a new Best mylar. I did try to put some conductive paint on the old one for about two minutes and then thought "I paid for the Best stuff anyway, so why bother". That box had been lying around my study since Bradley started to sell them and I remembered storing it "properly" just weeks ago. Took me half an hour to find it.... Keyboard now works flawlessly, PAL conversion and Ultimate 1MB are next. Both ROMs have 28-pin sockets already. I'll think about UAV once I've seen the PAL output. I also found a stereo board but dread driling the case. My other 1200XL is a Taiwan unit 72R DA 01585 153.

I recently bought a 1200XL (with mostly dead keyboard), PSU & BASIC locally off craigslist. 83S DA 49382 173 Looks like I'll need a new mylar, but I'm currently waiting for an AV cable & SIO2PC to see if I can run some tests first (the ROM's self-test won't execute because the START key is dead).
janzh
Bought a 1200XL at Ebay in March 2019. Almost mint condition (even a Reconditioned sign on the back). No extensions and no obstructions but with Mylar repair. 83S DA 79484 143 Holger, Heidelberg, Germany Edited June 17, 2019 by janzh

electronizer
I had two more pilot units—unfortunately I only had the case for these. DA000092 and the other one looks like DA000145. I gave both of these to bob1200xl.
