:ponder: Morbid curiosity time. If you could only choose to buy/keep one 2600 console, which would it be?

My Sears light-sixer is my choice, since it was my original console, back in the early days :D

Easy...the same one I've had for 24 years! The ONLY one I ever had....If "Bertha" died, I'd be one sad 2600 widower, that's for sure, followed by a month or so of longing, then the...."other woman"....hehe, I'd get me a new (old) one!

For some reason I'm partial towards the 4-switch woody.

Light sixer by Atari as it was the first system I ever owned ;)

I use the Heavy Sixer as my main Atari playing system, but the first one I ever had as a kid was the 4 switch woody.

How about Sears Video Arcade II ?

That is the only one that works 100% perfect on my 42 inch Flat panel.

To date, I still haven't seen one of these in person. I apologize for the oversight, however.

How about the Sears 4-switch?

Honestly, I like all of them just about equally. I couldn't pick just one. But if I had to, I might go with a Sears system, just to be a little different.

I prefer, only slightly, the 4-switch (atari or sears) since the cartridge slot seems less picky than the 6-switcher's.

Not really a big deal, as long as it works well.

I almost chose the Vader because that was my first system, and the all black just looks cool, but over all I have to choose the Light Sixer by Atari. It has all six switches on the front without the cartridge slot issues the Heavy Sixer has.

PAL 2600 Jr because it's the only one with a scart connexion (excepted the RGB 7800 - i have both -).

Gotta be a sixer - difficulty switches are best when visible :)

I heard that. They are clearly visible on my first choice of console--my third run, modded 7800.

If I had to choose a 2600 console specifically, though, I'd choose a Sears Heavy Sixer. Let's hear it for the "off" brand!
