Where is everyone coming from?

Recommended Posts

I've just looked at the hit counter for my site, which actually counts the unique IP addresses that visits my site, and it is still growing. I have now had over 2700 unique IP addresses access my site! This doesn't include repeat visits, so people that visit the site regularly don't flag up anymore. So where are all these unique IP's coming from?????

(not complaining, I think it's really cool  )

Hej Pengwin,

Your site is impressive, I like it a lot and I visit it quite frequently. I noticed you have examined new games. I nearly wait you add more game previews on your pages.

And btw, my ip came from Slovenia ;)

Most people on cable/DSL/dialup have dynamic IP addresses... I used to have a DSL account that changed IP address every 2 hours, no matter what I was in the middle of doing. Not sure how large the pool of possible IPs was, but if I had looked at your site once a day for a week, I would likely have shown up as 7 or more unique IPs. If the pool was a range of 254 possible addresses, I might have shown up as 254 unique IPs, if I were a heavy user of the site over a period of maybe 6 months (you can see how this inflates the numbers...)

It'd probably be more accurate to track repeat visitors with cookies, though still not 100% (since people can disable cookies in their browsers).

Still, 2700 is still impressive for a personal site

Hey Pengwin, great site and impressive stats, I always enjoy my visits...

One request: are you able to put up a copy of Kyan 2.0 for download?

Hi Fujix,

I have now changed the zip file to also include the 2 sides of Kyan 2.02.
