KAZ
Quick question... What other games besides: Super Mario 1,2,3 are supported on the Game Boy Advance? Are there other Nintendo (NES) titles out for it? Like Mike Tyson's Punchout, Mega Man, or games like Contra? It makes a difference in my decision to eventually buy it. NE146
Well if you use a Flashcart and put an NES emulator like PocketNES on it then you can play most any of the NES games you want. I know several people who use their GBA to play NES titles all the time! NES punchout on the go.. mmmmboy good.
liveinabin
And as far as dedicated GBA games go, there's a decent Megaman game, one of the best (possibly THE best) Bomberman games and, while Punchout isn't available yet, there are a few boxing games. Mario 3 isn't out for GBA tho, SMB1 was for the Color, SMB2 was the first GBA game, the second GBA release is SNES Mario World and the upcoming 3rd will be the SNES Yoshi game. Osbo
Well if you use a Flashcart and put an NES emulator like PocketNES on it then you can play most any of the NES games you want. I know several people who use their GBA to play NES titles all the time! NES punchout on the go.. mmmmboy good. man, nice info, thanks... now how is the speed of the emulator? I remember trying out an emu for NES and to be honest, it sucked big time, I wish nintendo made a cart with some NES classics, like Super Contra or Simpsons Osbo
ubersaurus
Well if you count the game boy color, then you can include the Dragon Warrior ports of the first 3 games, which is cool.
+Zeptari
I just recived a GBA in a trade last week.... with it came Breath of Fire.. which i hear is an updated version of the SNES classic rpg. i never played the snes game. but this i like... The screen on the GBA is a little dark when the game goes into the night... the other game is GT advance championship racing.. it's like a mini version of Gran Tursiomo.. i like it alot.. except for the stupid password system..... it's horrible.. i hope the gt2 for the adavnce has a battery save.... it would really help.... alot of time's id rather play gtAdavce but it's not really pick up and play when you have a 5min long password to put in... so i'll just throw Breath of Fire in.....plug and play.......lets you save anytime! DEBRO
i never played the snes game. but this i like...The screen on the GBA is a little dark when the game goes into the night... I would suggest you get an Afterburner. These lights are great and IMO better than any other light attachment out there! Now I can play my GBA in complete darkness. So, All I can tell you is I think they do.
ubersaurus
If you want a standard gba light, go with the floodlight. It's the next best thing to the afterburner. I just reaad up on this, that capcom is porting Mega Man & Bass, a Japan only SNES release, to the Game Boy Advance, which would, presumably, be released stateside.
