I was reading through the may 07 issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly and it has a cool article about the Mindlink, R.O.B., and other cool old controller things.

I have the Interactor, I rarely ever used it. I doubt I'd have all the pieces to hook it up now unless I totally took my closet apart. And even then hooking that thing up may be next to impossible.

My god most of those controller add-ons suck.

Good luck with the U-Force kids, it makes you look retarted.

Does anyone actually find Sean Baby's writing funny?

Someone should tell him to get over himself and just write; leave the crap attempt at humor at home.

I find Seanbaby to be absolutely hilarious myself. I take humor for what it is, an attempt to make us laugh. Whether that means Three Stooges style slapstick or dry, subtle British wit, I find it to be all good.

R.O.B. did kinda suck. I used to just manipulate the second controller on my own, especially after his tops stopped spinning. I only had Gyromite to use him with. I'm guessing he sucked so bad that they only made a few (two or so) games to even work with him.

The other controllers featured in the article or so obscure that I never had the pleasure (or dis-pleasure) of owning them.

I've seen seanbaby's site, but had no idea he was actually a writer for EGM. I'm stunned. That magazine has changed since 15 years ago.

Yep, you aren't missing much. I have the U-Force but have never used it before (it was one of those "here - take this." deals at my local game shop), the Activator is pretty lame as it doesn't detect WHAT you are doing as much as it detects WHERE you are doing it, and the Interactor is pretty much just a (VERY) cheap subwoofer that you strap to your chest. *eyeballs his 250W subwoofer and tries to figure out where to put the straps*

i find the humor interefering with actual facts.

Yeah, but if you're writing your college thesis on the U-Force and need some dry facts, that's what the internet is for. I find it disappointing that more magazines don't see fit to humorously bash the crappier offerings of the video game world. There are so many of them, after all.

Seanbaby is hilarious, most of the time.
