Did you make sure you read the listing to see if the item was tested and working? Also did the seller state the item being sold as is. Usually when they state sold as is non tested it is guarenteed the item will not work sadly.

What was the seller's rating? (If the rating was high positive feedback , then it is more likely that it broke during shipping).

 

A posting of the eBay listing might help.

You might want to change the title of the thread also! At first i was thinking why would someone promise you a broken Atari from ebay!
