+bfstats #1 Posted June 5, 2007 Rarely see these on eBay, and I'd prefer to trade for them rather than buy. Anyone willing and able?
DreamTR #2 Posted June 6, 2007 I hope you have some amazing stuff in trade if you want these two!
Crazy Climber #3 Posted June 6, 2007 Not sure if you have seen the wall but it's pretty amazing. I beleive it is minus one Video Life though now
homerwannabee #4 Posted June 6, 2007 Wow, I am amazed that you have never come across these. From my knowledge you have been collecting since atleast the early 80's. Must be rarer than I thought.

Complete they are both pretty rare and CTCW is pretty expensive too when it does sell. Its one of those games thats not worth much loose but goes for $$$ complete
+bfstats #6 Posted June 7, 2007 Wow, I am amazed that you have never come across these. From my knowledge you have been collecting since atleast the early 80's. Must be rarer than I thought. These are my two most vexing titles. I can honestly say I acquired every title I laid my eyes on between 1981 & 1991. But I was in the dark about CTCW because I didn't own a dog and never had a reason to buy dog food. Once I acquired a copy of the cart, I actually made a box out of a ChuckWagon dog food bag (wrapped around another box) just so the game would have representation on The Wall. I didn't know Qubes existed until I saw it at the CGE museum in 1999.
DeusExMachina #7 Posted June 7, 2007 I just happen to have a CIB CTCW
video game addict #8 Posted June 7, 2007 I think the last few times I watched Chuckwagon sell it was around the $300 mark. Qubes I had & sold for around the $400 mark, but I think someone here is offering $800 for a CIB of that one right now. They are both rare boxes. Really it depends on who's looking & what they are willing to pay with ebay. Prices can go high one time & low the next. I think CTCW has sold over the $500 mark and I've seen it down around $250 range before. Qubes is the same way if two people really wanted it, and the way boxed games have been selling lately I could see $800 price, but $350 might be a fair price at the right time. I wish I had of bought the Mr Do's! Castle I passed up for $375 a couple years ago. I know I'd get at least twice that right now seeing what some people are offering. Definitely need some good trade bait to strike up a deal. Good luck!
Dino #9 Posted June 7, 2007 I think the last few times I watched Chuckwagon sell it was around the $300 mark. Qubes I had & sold for around the $400 mark, I think the days when you could pick these up for these prices are gone....for now.
DreamTR #10 Posted June 7, 2007 I think Chuck is closer to the $550-600 mark boxed, and Qubes is probably an $800 title if it shows up....it seems to be as rare as elusive as the Mr. Do's Castle box I still want!
Crazy Climber #11 Posted June 7, 2007 I think Atari2600.com sold a MINT CTCW last summer for around the $500 price, might have even been a little more, I'm thinking $540 but I can't quite remember. The last one on Ebay though was under $400 if memory serves. Also someone sold just a box here on AA a few months ago but I never asked what it wen't for. Not even sure who bought it. Zwackery #12 Posted June 7, 2007 I got my CTCW a couple summers ago. I was the second highest bidder in an auction, the high bidder didn't pay, so the seller offered it to me (it was mixed in with a boxed 2600A and some other boxed games). Absolutely beautiful label and box in outstanding condition, but no "manual". A year or so later I picked up a mixed lot of instructions, and the CTCW "manual" was mixed in. It was a roundabout way to acquire the game CIB, but I think my patience paid off with a price much below market average.
homerwannabee #13 Posted June 7, 2007 This is why I like this hobby so much. It is the only hobby I know of where patience and timing are so much more factors in getting a game than how much money some rich bastard has. The rich bastard has to get in line with the rest of us. Seems like the people with more money seem to be a little more careful with there spending if you ask me, well for the most part at least. Thats probably one reason they have more money, careful spending. It's the speed collectors with credit cards that spend the big bucks, then reality hits that they have more into there Atari collection then there retirement fund and stacks of Visa bills to pay, they panic and sell. Well whatever the reason, it equals the playing field more, which is cool for people like me who are not filthy rich.
