lucifershalo #1 Posted June 11, 2007 which one is the most valuable? and which one is the most fun to play? thanks
Michael_ #2 Posted June 11, 2007 To tell you the truth, they´re both quite dull games. As to the rarity, my guess is that CTCW (NTSC) is still considered the rarer of the two. It´s categorized as an R8 and if PAL rarity lists existed (comparable) I´m sure Mangia (PAL)would be an R9 or R8 also.
lucifershalo #3 Posted June 11, 2007 well if both were NTSC mangia is R10 CTCW is R8

pangasinan #5 Posted June 11, 2007 Ive got PAL Mangia and it really fun to play if only that stupid cat wouldnt disappear when you try and feed him !!!
Michael_ #6 Posted June 11, 2007 I think the whole concept of Mangia is bloody scary.
Crazy Climber #7 Posted June 12, 2007 They are both worth about $50 loose. Both are very hard to find boxed. I have never seen an NTCS Mangia for sale, only people claiming to have it and VG Collector magazine recently dropped it from there price guide which makes me question if it exsists I'm sure it does probably just not very many of them. As for gameplay they both are OK, Chuckwagon holds my interest a little longer but there is not a whole lot to either of them
+Wonder007 #8 Posted June 12, 2007 I own two of them (NTSC's) ....one complete and another one with just the cart which does not have a label, I believe it is a proto since it uses authentic a Spetravision board and chip. So, the cart definitely exists....I paid a lot for both copies.

I bet they are all proto's or promotional copys, seems weird that there are so many PAL ones and so few NTSC

Crazy Climber #15 Posted June 12, 2007 What does a lose and CIB go for? I have never seen one for sale. Jim Loose Mangia NTSC - A TRUCKLOAD OF CASH!! I would guess $500 to $1000 but I also have never seen one for sale. I could have sworn I saw a loose Mangia' on atari2600.com about 3 or 4 years ago for $460 so I would assume it was NTSC but that was also back when his prices were high so I don't know. I wasn't into collecting enough back then to check it's format, didn't care at that time I was just looking at all the expensive games for fun. The box and manual for it - buy a CIB PAL format one for about $300 and use the manual and box since you will never find a CIB NTSC one

Jim I said "I am waiting for my friend in Venezuela to find some and decide on his price" LOL, I ended up picking up some Spanish from a lot of my Puerto Rican friends when i lived up in Buffalo, and i actually enjoyed learning it in high school as well. Its a lot easier for me to understand it written out than listening to it though, because much of my Puerto Rican friends seemed to speak a lot faster in Spanish and its hard to sink in all at once.
