S1500 #1 Posted June 18, 2007 After much scanning, straightening, batch converting, and cropping, my scans are done. I'm only 1 scan left to do, and that's for a different magazine entirely. So enjoy the scans of Videogaming & Computergaming Illustrated. Maybe you'll find some nuggets of information that was lost in time, up until now. I've seen some vaporware announcements here & there in the readings. So share them here. magazine scans & more

Technosis #4 Posted June 18, 2007 Wow thanks so much for posting these.....It's great to get a feel of what the scene was like back in the 80's. Hopefully these awesome scans will inspire others to do the same
Atarifever #5 Posted June 19, 2007 (edited) This is awesome. Thanks a lot. Are the Odyssey 2 and Intellivision going down the drain? What a great cover story. Edited June 19, 2007 by Atarifever
S1500 #6 Posted June 19, 2007 This is awesome. Thanks a lot. Are the Odyssey 2 and Intellivision going down the drain? What a great cover story. I thought that was funny too. Asking if the Odyssey 2 is "dying" in 1983? Oh noes! Yeah, it was dead.
+Random Terrain #7 Posted June 19, 2007 Hey, I have few of those Videogaming & Computergaming Illustrated magazines. The one with Spock, the girl in a blue bathing suit with her hands up, and the one with Tron on it. What size scanner do you have? Mine could only do one side at a time if I ever had the patience to scan in all of those pages.
Atarifever #8 Posted June 19, 2007 This is awesome. Thanks a lot. Are the Odyssey 2 and Intellivision going down the drain? What a great cover story. I thought that was funny too. Asking if the Odyssey 2 is "dying" in 1983? Oh noes! Yeah, it was dead. Yeah, reading it it seems like they were worried people would be angry the system lifecycles were so short. The O2 was from 78 and they were saying you wouldn't see much for it in 1984. Oh no! A third/fourth place machine owned by a million people only getting 6 years before support is dropped! Whatever shall we do? I WISH the N-Gage, Neo Geo PC, and Gizmondo could have seen 6 years of new games.
S1500 #9 Posted June 19, 2007 Hey, I have few of those Videogaming & Computergaming Illustrated magazines. The one with Spock, the girl in a blue bathing suit with her hands up, and the one with Tron on it. What size scanner do you have? Mine could only do one side at a time if I ever had the patience to scan in all of those pages. I think I only was 3 magazines short of the collection. the 3 magazines in question had a picture of jaws on the cover for one, another one detailing the Adam's demise, and another one for predicting the future of 1984. The scanner I use is Mustek scan express a3 usb. Big butt scanner.
