POKEY for CC2

I am looking for a POKEY chip for my CC2. If you have an extra, let me know. I'll buy it or trade if you prefer; let me know what you are looking for.

Doesn't 7800 BallBlazers cart have one inside? Might be the cheapest way.....get a beat but working cart on ebay for a buck or two.....

That may be true, but removing a 40 dip is a pain.

nah, 5 mins and its out. Ballblazer can be had for $3 bucks brand new. It's cheaper than sourcing a POKEY alone.

I had originally desoldered a pokey from a ballblazer cart, but my work was not good and the chip worked for awhile and then died. i would prefer to but buy a chip this time around. you can see the cc2 thread for my full experience.

 

because i mainly just want to play ballblazer i should probably just (re)purchase the cart and play it from original cart instead of the cc2.

Considering what the CC2 is worth, I'd recommend buying the chip if your desoldering capability is not up to speed.
