Does anyone else have this one?

 

I was tinkering with it last night. I discovered the obvious yet again. If you use the premade templates, everything goes much more smoothly. The package has a lot of problems, but I managed to eke some fun out of it.

 

Anyway, does anyone know if there's a way to put a store in the game? Is it a premade area template or something? I put a town down, and was trying to add a merchant, but I could not find any option to create a store menu.

 

Was there a strategy guide/instruction book for this one? I seem to recall one, but I wasn't able to locate it on a Google product search or on Amazon.

So you didn't buy it brand new at the Gamestop sale? I did, but don't expect to have time to mess with it for a while.

No. I've owned it for a while now (bought it on release day).

I looked around at sites that scan instruction manuals, RPG maker isn't included tho. I found a text version of the original but no go on part 3. Seems like info on game is pretty rare.

No. I've owned it for a while now (bought it on release day).

So are you saying that you lost the instructions that came with it in the box? Or were you asking about some kind of extra guide?

I have the instruction manual. It's just not very good. For games like these, the instruction book writers just seem to look at the menus and copy what they see. This is so everyone will buy the strategy guide, which is what should really be called the game instruction manual. There was one for RPG Maker 2, but I thought there was also one for 3.

 

So, I'm asking if anyone remembers an RPG Maker 3 strategy guide or if I imagined it.

 

I figured out how to place a shop. I suppose it was obvious enough. I had to use the Events>Buildings>Shop menu. I just didn't initially think of a Building as an event, and kept looking through the Objects menu.

 

I've found a couple of places online with info about the game, but it's pretty sparse. Everyone seems to prefer the PC versions, which I don't really blame them for.
